No, nothing stranger has happened than a 5 win team winning the division and then going on a playoff run
No, nothing stranger has happened than a 5 win team winning the division and then going on a playoff run
I would like to see a 5 win team almost double their win total by winning the superb owl
pretty sure making playoffs bumps you to 21+ but I will check...
yep:
so no win/win scenario of playoffs and high pickDraft Order:
Determination of Draft order for the 32 NFL teams is based on the record and playoff finish by each team in that year.
For the teams that did not make the playoffs, order is determined by overall season record, with the worst record picking first.
For the teams that made the playoffs, the rest of the picks are ordered by playoff record, with the teams that lose getting lower picks based on which round they were ousted and the Super Bowl winner getting the last pick.
For the playoff teams that got eliminated in the same round, their order is determined by regular season record.
Overall ties are then broken by strength of schedule, which is a calculation of the combined record of all of a team's opponents in that year, with divisional opponents counting twice.
The next tie breaker would be record against conference opponents and then divisional opponents.
Coin flip will occur if tie still exists
After the first round, the order is determined by revolving the teams with the same records, with the team that just picked first of the group picking last in the next round.
If there is an expansion team, that team will pick first, and if there are two expansion teams, they will flip a coin with one team getting the first pick in the draft and the other in the expansion draft of current players.![]()
its ok, after you trade all your other picks away youll have a top 5 draft pick anyway
Honestly, if we managed to make the playoffs at 6-10 and then beat Seattle in the wild card round, I would be perfectly happy to then get crushed 74-0 in the divisional round after Brees fumbles four times and throws five picks, and then we trade the other McCown to TB and sign Tebow to back up Brees, and I would still be thoroughly and utterly satisfied.
Hang on, I think I hear my alarm clock ringing...
You can have beast mode, DMM is getting franchised.
pls?
franchising him wouldn't make sense, too large of a cap hit. they would have to do some salary cap gymnastics with a backloaded deal and bonuses since the cap is such a mess
I'm sure Jerry will work some voodoo and renegotiate a bunch of contracts to push back salary cap hell for another year or so.
We already have so many to resign, it kinda sucks. The option on Melton is expensive (and he's really starting to come on now), McClain would have to get resigned, and Dez's contract is up as well. I believe Doug Free is also a FA this year, and breaking up this OLine is prob not in the plans. Considering the lowered value on individual RBs, the short lifespan of starting RB nowadays, and his injury history, a long term deal that's backloaded is out of the question for him, imo. They'll give that type of deal to Dez. I'd like to see a short 3~ year deal for like 6M (I believe the franchise is 8-9M for RBs) a year. I've always loved the dude and the way he plays, but I don't see him being a cowboy for life like Dez will be. I think they'll create space by cutting Carr after this season, tho so who knows.
Stephen Jones is a miracle worker with the cap.
fucking detroit game not on here
Need the 49ers to lose today. ELIMINATOR
The Skins only chance is to bench Bobby and let Colt unleash the Fury on the team that started Kaepernick over him.
