It's a mobile tactical RPG based on the FF Brave Exvius lore. Exvius is not XIV and the name was only chosen because the developer thought it sounded cool.

It's probably just an Alchemist Code reskin... which would be fine because I actually enjoyed the gameplay there before Gumi destroyed everything with their gacha shit as they usually do (GL exlusive!).

Alchemist Code was fine to play until you got into the higher tier of job upgrades and getting an individual item for a unit would take you a few day's worth of stamina because RNG could just easily fuck you out of drops/chest loot. Well, that and the excessive multiplayer spam focus. The gacha just exacerbated limit breaking units, since you didn't just need one, but like 4 more. However, that isn't a problem exclusive to TAC, either.

Still weird to say the most fun TRPG I've played since FFT was some JP smut game (Kamidori Alchemy Meister). Though, I'd probably liken it closer to Shining Force.
