Y'all need to check out the four BRA★BRA albums that are in the repository alongside the OSTs. They're official full orchestral arrangements made totally outside the influence of Arnie Roth & Distant Worlds. Incredibly fresh takes on some choice compositions that Distant Worlds mostly hasn't covered yet. Lots of incredible new takes on FF6-FF10 pieces specifically, battle themes galore. Lots of new renditions of pieces Distant Worlds have covered as well (like some of the SNES era classics). The fourth album is entirely FF7 focused.
Same, how did I never know these existed?? Amazing

I'm slightly scared Lucavi will send out assassins after me if this turns out to be nothing or some crappy cash grabA new game in the Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre series could be on the way. In Japan, Square Enix trademarked the name “Tactics Ogre: Reborn.” The company didn’t make any announcements after calling dibs on the title. However, Square Enix did file trademarks along this line ahead of announcing games like FFVII Ever Crisis and the Live a Live remake. [Thanks, Renka and Nibel!]![]()
The hope I have for TO not being a mobile title is that it was part of the Nividia leak, which has proven accurate and is only for PC/Console titles thus far.
Chrono Cross Remaster
Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Final Fantasy 9 Remake
Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster
Kingdom Hearts 4
New strategy game
Tactics Ogre Remaster
Tomb Raider 25th Anniversary (2021)
Unannounced Card Game 2
Hope it's true so I can finally play it. Would also like a FFT Remaster please
We do have that New Years interview from Sakaguchi that said he was excited for an unannounced project from Matsuno...
Why pay devs to properly remaster something properly when you know the community will make their own mods for free?
literally started the PSP remaster of LUCT two weeks ago timing eh
They announced it as a HD remaster, instead it's a straight port of the PS1 game. The complaints are shared across all versions;
- ~15-20 FPS
- Screen tearing during cut-scenes
- No motion blur
- Upscaled models' polygons are "broken"
- Frame stuttering
- Frame drops causing animation slowdowns
Might not be "just a port", but it's still a weak-ass remaster
What they did with the game could be done in an emulator with some fan made patches, I'd definitely consider it a (poor) port job.
