Could someone please do that then because me trying to play it on RetroArch was such a fucking pain. No matter what settings I used there were so many issues.

Not a fan of google?
Cause a quick search shows plenty of YouTube videos and forum posts w/ guides of how to play the game on RetroArch with HD Textures and upscaled backgrounds.
I tried everything yo. Never got it working with nice graphics. Powered through with shitty textures and screen tears and random BS
Well the official remaster also has screen tearing, graphical glitches, and performance issues so maybe it's not just you.
Jigs up

It is being reported that Square Enix is selling off some of its most popular IPs, and associated studios, for $300 million.
The news comes directly from Embracer Group, the company that owns THQ Nordic and Gearbox. The agreement involves the purchase of Crystal Dynamics, Eidos-Montréal, Square Enix Montréal, and a “catalogue of IPs including Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Thief, Legacy of Kain and more than 50 back-catalogue games from Square Enix Holdings” for the price of $300 million.
That...seems short sighted. They could absolutely bring back a bunch of those, including the Legacy series and Tomb Raider and make way more than 300mil on it.

$300 million seems an awfully low number for that many franchises.
Im going to take this as positive news, allowing SE to not bother with this side fluff and focus on FF, DQ, and the rest of their RPG bread and butter. For better or for worse.
Selling off Tomb Raider for NFT seed money, woo buddy
Nuts, I really liked their Tomb Raider games.
Well maybe someone else who buys the studio will continue to let them make it the same way
Eidos made GotG so if they continue that series can probably expect that to suck too
