Pixel Remaster is muuuuuch better
Pixel Remaster is muuuuuch better
Other than the shit font and simplified colouring on the sprites lacking contrasts relative to the originals.
And they eventually added options to change it too
I think he's talking about the PSP version, cause you can't steal Genji in that, had to get it through multiplayer, which sucked cause nobody near me had the damn game.
In the PS1 version you can absolutely steal it in chapter 4 at Limberry Castle. From what my old brain remembers, the ideal way to do it was to create a Ramza with a birthday in a specific month and then max out as much Bravery as you can ( I think ) to get your Steal percentage to 9 or 10%
It was super annoying because if any of the girls died, the battle was over, so it was a fine line of keeping everyone alive long enough to get all the armor. I remember getting it all though. Was super proud of myself, especially not having played tactics based games before that.
I did specifically mean the PSP version, War of the Lions, yes.
I would hope that any baseline for a Tactics remaster is taken from WotL and not the OG PSX release.
The corny quotations can come, but maybe with a toggle to turn them on and off?
After the XVI DLC and PC launch, and then Dawntrail this summer, we really don’t have much in the way of announced FF titles for a while. I imagine VIIR part 3 is a minimum two years away. They haven’t even hinted at XVII. Theres the rumored Tactics remaster and IX remake rumors but still nothing official.
DQXII will be the last game with Toriyama's artwork![]()
They should just end there.
They’ll probably just feed every bit of Toriyama artwork into an AI generator and be like “make that but in a different color” for future games
Regarding FFIX remake rumors:
During PAX East panel today, the pre-order and collector's edition bonuses for XIV's Dawntrail expansion were revealed and they are all IX themed, including Zidane and Garnet minions. When asked why they were IX themed Yoshi P replied "Secret!"
You could read into it more, but we also need to remember each expansion is themed and has items related to a specific number title.

(Are previews broken with the twitter -> X address change?)
Text Version:
Square Enix have appointed 6 Company Directors including new Creative Studio Heads!
- Yoshinori Kitase (Creative Studio 1 & 2)
- Naoki Yoshida (Creative Studio 3)
- Yosuke Saito (Creative Studio 4 & 5)
- Katsuyoshi Matsuura (Publication)
- Yu Miyake (Sales & Distribution)
- Tsuneto Okuno (General Affairs & HR)
It's a little telling that there were some rather big changes:
Creative Business Unit is now Creative Studio (we knew this)
Kitase remains in charge of Studio 1, and takes over Studio 2 with DQ Producer Yu Miyake stepping down
Studio 2 is assumingly still Team Asano as well. Notably Asano was appointed to BoD in April.
Yoshi P is the only one helming a lone Studio. This will likely give his team the chance to focus on 1 title at a time instead of having an A and B title like the other Studios.
Kei Hirono is no longer helming Studio 4/5. Yosuke Saito often works on Nier, and Studio 4 has handled Mana titles for a while now. This may be the biggest move overall in shifting Nier from Studio 2 to Studio 4/5.
The other 3 offices (Publication, Sales/Distribution, General/HR) sound like they may be an effort to have dedicated offices for interfacing with 3rd parties and assisting with publishing efforts.
Nomura is nowhere to be found. Probably for the best in letting his creative talents flourish without burdening him with producer or director responsibilities.
Yeah, previews don't work if you use the X url, they work fine if it's twitter
Hey, look, it's that exclusivity thing they were talking about.

Part of me is also thinking this will end up being a "fix" release for the cloud based Switch versions - Switch or Switch 2.
Oh boy the modders with access to Disney IP.
