We never saw a new Bioshock or an RTX remaster of the original, no Mirror's Edge remaster, or a PC version of Demon's Souls.

I know there's other stuff that was in the leak that hasn't materialized, but that's off the top of my head

QoL isn't the same as the updated content from WotL lol. I am guessing the FFT remaster will have more QoLs than WotL did.

As far as I know, there's no version of FF9 with extra content.

No, outside of establishing new Achievements and an HD font, all the recent ports of FF9 for Steam, PS4/5, Switch, etc., are derivative of the Android/iOS version from 2016, which actually regressed and removed a feature present in the original PS1 version: 2-player co-op in battles.

If you want new content, play the extremely awesome Alternate Fantasy mod of the Steam version via Memoria/Moguri. It offers a general combat difficulty spike by adjusting enemy stats and AI, tweaks to some legacy abilities/spells to make them more useful, new abilities/spells/skills (which have replaced highly exploitable/easy-win abilities like Thievery, Dragon Crest, Frog Drop, etc.), tweaks to equipment (and what abilities they teach), tweaks to status effects that alter how PCs behave in battle, ability to break the 9999 damage limit, new endgame superboss battles, and full Beatrix recruitment/story/ability incorporation in Disc 3 with upgradeable Save The Queen and such. And since it's already using Memoria/Moguri you can toggle any part of these things on/off at any time, and you still get the 4K scaled backgrounds, models, 30fps movies, use your own fonts, etc. And since it's Steam it even has PS5 controller support/button icons.

Actually, some losers even got together and voice acted (very poorly) through disc 1, and it's another plugin you can use on Moguri. But don't. FFS don't, anyone.

You've got to be insane to listen to fan-made VA. People are delusional thinking they're anywhere good enough to actually do that well + they don't have proper equipment, so the quality is pretty shitty too usually

Stella Deus was similar, the only VA who shows any emotion or depth is the guy voicing the character whose whole thing is telling essentially the Pope that he's gonna rape her in front of her boyfriend's beheaded corpse.

It's kinda funny that at the end of those youtube videos they pull out Garnet / Zidane / Vivi from the crowd of characters. I agree with them. Those are the real main characters.

Btw, I commissioned this back in Jan. It's 3D printed and hand painted. I thought the whole thing was gonna be 9", but nope, turns out that was the dimension for Vivi. May not have gotten remake, but I got this for 25th anniversary I guess
