Man, this seems like a thematic mess. What was the point of TLJ, subverting us so much, and then we're going to back to Palpatine/Skywalkers? I know TLJ was very very polarizing, but at least it was going for something new.

Nah, TLJ fucking sucked and the proposed idea of "anyone can be the hero" was hot dog shit. TJL was the thematic mess, the rest is great.

This has Disney REMEMBER THESE THINGS written all over it. Does that mean I won't see it? No. It looks good.

Hot garbage in a way I did not realize they could make it. I'm honestly impressed by the fact that the teaser trailer made me care less about a movie I thought I couldn't care less about.

1. Rey apparently can never have another outfit.
2. Rey was "trained with everything they know" when that's clearly not the case at all.
3. Random spaceship not even bothering to... you know... SHOOT at her, and her bright idea is to backflip over it? Why is this scene even happening?
4. Another fucking mascot robot.
5. Shoehorning in Palpatine back in because that totally wasn't an awful idea from the EU.
6. Literally invalidating the legacy of Luke by somehow making Rey the true "Skywalker".

I could go on but Christ... this looks dumb as hell man. Call it salt, call it whatever, but I just think it looks stupid.

Make no mistake, TLJ was awful, but I don't care in the slightest if they 'scrap everything from TLJ' or not. There's no fixing this, there never was, but damned if they aren't just going the other way and making it even worse.
