I think you're both missing my point. If you use something about someone as an insult, be it their size, height, eye color, skin color, religion, sexual orientation, etc., then that implies that whatever thing you're pointing out is bad.
If you call someone a ginger as a means to insult him, then you are implying that gingers are bad.
If you call someone a darkie as a means to insult her, then you are implying that dark skin is bad.
If you call a woman a male as a means to insult her, then you are implying that being a male is bad.
And yes, it goes both ways. You may wish to continue using those types of insults, but when you use a physical aspect that someone cannot help as an insult, it carries the implication that said physical aspect is a bad thing.
