It's not okay to say "wow, you're a racist idiot" or "wow you ought to shut up, this is very clearly dumb" or are you just saying you can't cross the line into "you're a sack of shit"?
Because I frequently have this problem with some "Trump supporters". Their "opinion" is validated because it isn't invalidated. The supposition that we should ignore stupidity after repeated attempts at discussion and deliberation because it's an opinion when it isn't even reasonably formed seems absurd.
Edit: and literally I have yet to experience the "shutting down conservatives" bullshit that the few posters here who complain are trying to peddle. BG may be mostly liberal folks, but discussions are typically filled with opportunity for education and informative dialogue.
Refusing to engage with that just because it conflicts with a delusional world view is the opposite of being suppressed. It's dissonance.
