You all are not saviors. We’ve been here for over a decade at least. No one has made major changes in views due to the YCS. Maybe minor understandings in what we already believe, but that’s about it. No one here is going down the rabbit hole because of Guartz.


And if by some miracle an impressionable young teen rando comes to the forum and happens to read the section, they are more likely to side with Guartz based on your inability to control yourself.

I do think there should be a good faith effort to engage in the discussion that bars people from saying something, disappearing, and then coming back later. But I don't want to moderate anyone just for minority viewpoints no matter how stupid.

While a nice idea, I don’t like this expectation. We all are adults now with jobs and lives and children and shit.


I’ve done the same post and run behavior simply because I thought I’d have time, but then my kids spill spaghetti on the floor, so I forget I even posted.

I can’t speak for Guartz’s lifestyle, but I wouldn’t want to have to deal with figuring out who is too busy to post and who is just not willing to respond.

I have asked admins repeatedly to have Day return, and been denied. I think he gave them a shitfit when he was removed.

Guartz, even from his early days in BG was always heavy into the conspiracy theory shit. I think people are saying he is trolling, he is just doing it well enough for you guys not to do anything about it. The line between true believer and troll is blurry. Groggle was a true believer in near trollish levels of bullshit. He got pegged for flaming not for his opinions being outlandishly trolltastic.

We only got day because he admitted it. Which is why he's not coming back because he would just do the same thing.
