I got an infraction because I replied to a thread like an asshole without understanding the context. I apologized to Gred and to Rhyis because, while passionate about mental health for obvious reasons, I went after Rhyis without proper understanding of the thread.

It was explained to me by mods the exact reason for the infraction and I 100% agreed. I would have infracted me too.

People expected better of me. They expect guartz to be an idiot and frankly while stupid he doesn't do banworthy behavior. He skirts it.

wrong. you cannot win a debate against the clinically insane. you cannot cure the demented. all that happens is they drag you down into their madness.

all that happens is they distract you, waste your time, prevent you from actually debating real issues and finding real solutions to problems and implementing them. trolls and madmen simply regenerate. you can hack and hack but all you wind up with is more trolls. burn the bitches and move on. it's the only way to deal with them, because we have more important things to deal with, actual debates to tackle.

You all need to understand that being dumb and wrong and bad at debating isn't trolling. It's just being a terrible person. And that's not against the rules.

Guartz and HC actually legitimately believe Trump is MAGA. There is a discussion to be had there, even though they predictably slink away when they get their assess verbally handed to them. That's how debate works in society. People aren't obligated to change their minds but you need to best the other side.

If you don't want to discuss things with them because it's pointless then block them.

There's a difference between Guartz and Heavencloud lol. You can't read Guartz posts and tell me he isn't either trolling or being willfully ignorant just to solidify some antiestablishment view. I don't honestly believe that discussions with guartz have been of value to the writers or the readers. It is all just wasted anti-intellectual masturbation. We are truly all dumber for the discussion.

I would say we should just ban him. Trump is morally and frequently logically indefensible and guartz is just a tool that swallows everything hook, line, and sinker, so there isn't some useful debate with him that we're missing out on. Everyone's life just gets better if he can't shitpost anymore.



HC is a little different in that he sometimes knows what he is talking about and won't go for 100% of the far right talk radio bait like guartz.

I really have no dog in this fight; I am a moderator myself elsewhere so I'm fully aware you have to walk a fine line always. That being said i don't see him arguing in good faith. It seems like he is being argumentative for the sake of stirring shit up. I really can't recall him ever changing his opinion or relenting on anything. He doesn't even fully converse or back up his points to any degree. It's purely jump in to "own the libs" then disappear when approached with the most minuscule amount of evidence contrary to his view. It's disruptive.

That is definitely is approach. I'm saying it's not trolling because he legitimately believes the shit that comes out of his own mouth. He is what day pretended to be. The pretending is trolling/baiting. That's why day got exiled.

Guartz getting dragged for being stupid every time he posts is exactly what should happen. System working as intended as far as I am concerned. If people don't want to deal with him or engage him because he won't change his mind, then they should block him.

Insofar as the shitty quality of his discussion impacts the thread, I'm willing to police that and enforce standards. I'm not going to get rid of him just because his viewpoints suck. It is our duty to confront him.
