Insofar as his mere existence and presence is an affront to most people, yes Guartz enjoys the fact that him being here and being pro-Trump pisses off people. But people not liking him is not a reason to ban him. People not liking him because his views are stupid is not a reason to ban him. Him enjoying the fact people don't like him is not a reason to ban him.

Yes this is a private forum. And if you want policing like isla wanted, where people whose odious viewpoints got banned because they made other people uncomfortable, then you need to find another private forum.

My job isn't to make it so that you get to discuss solutions with like minded people. This isn't a leftist subforum. There are people that legitimately are going to argue that there things aren't issues.

This I would agree on, while I don't mind the dissenting voice...valid discussion never happens and it does muddle it up where 1-5 pages become people dragging him for saying "some races are just lazier than others" and other crazy ass shit opinions. I don't think the forum is too much of an echo chamber where a lot of us don't have differing opinions on topics but can either be persuaded by others or can keep our views and understand another point.

Because when it comes to trolling, intent matters. day pretending to believe the stuff means what he is doing is solely for the purposes of provocation. guartz may relish that his existence and viewpoint "trigger the libs," but he is allowed to exist and express his contrary viewpoints.

Comparatively flaming is flaming regardless of whether the person intends to be mean or not.

If a new poster came in here and posted the same shit Guartz posts in the same manner, they'd be banned within 3 days. He's incrementally lowered the bar for what's acceptable for him. No one else would be allowed to post the same trash, lie about it, deny they ever posted it, then disappear after shitting up the thread. They just wouldn't. But Guartz is allowed to do it over and over and over.

If someone shits in your cereal and then sits down and discusses good faith reasons as to why they shit in your cereal...that's one things.

Guartz will shit in your cereal, lie about it, have the photographic proof presented to him, then he will just leave without notice. That's unacceptable behavior that would, and has, gotten other people banned.

There's at least two examples in the last couple days of him denying he said something he's directly quoted as saying, then leaving after stirring the thread into a bullshit sorbet.

He's done the disappearing act thing before and it is definitely net negative on discussion quality (I would like to note that he is definitely not the only one who has done this, it's just he is the most prevalent offender since there are more left vs. right threads involving him than left vs left threads), that's why I said I'm willing to consider requirements that he respond to previous posts before he's allowed to say something new that's stupid.

Wasn't Church. Maz got banned (by Brill) for accusing me of killing hey by refusing to make a safe space for her (by being harsher with modding the transgender discussion threads), so definitely after I got modded.
