This I would agree on, while I don't mind the dissenting voice...valid discussion never happens and it does muddle it up where 1-5 pages become people dragging him for saying "some races are just lazier than others" and other crazy ass shit opinions. I don't think the forum is too much of an echo chamber where a lot of us don't have differing opinions on topics but can either be persuaded by others or can keep our views and understand another point.

You can't have a differing opinion because the groupthink spam reports them (just look at this thread) and when people are uncomfortable with the scary opinion, they silence that voice to spam or the person leaves entirely. There aren't "new" posters here, this forum was for a game that most moved on from already and the XIV section is dead. All you have left is the people who've posted here since forever and slowly they are either banned, turned off by the groupthink or they join em. funny, last few times people did that they got banned for personal attacks from what i recall. pretty much people like guartz are the reason people like me rarely even post in this section, which is the only section that's still fairly active. it's just not worth it for the most part, because of shitposters like him. your desire to prevent an "echo chamber" is simply slowly killing off the last really active subforum BG has, as far as i can tell.

Perhaps that's the goal. They know the process works.
Spam was basically dead for a year plus, because if you went in there, you'd eventually end up with Charismatic and crew constantly being an ass at you, it drove more reasonable posters out, nobody wanted to come in.
By the time he was banned, too much damage was done, there wasn't a viable population. The section didn't revive until Day was exiled there.

Nobody really wants to mod Politics, it's just something that has to be done, and it does burn mods out. Where's Bane?

Wasn't me. And I've stated before that I disagree many of the other mods' decisions, usually because I don't believe in punishment when others do.

I didn't want to get rid of Milkster or D44 (the latter of which I also butted heads with).

I always err towards free speech, which is to say I always am the voice for no punishment.
