Age of Ultron was chock full of executive meddling and turned out to be messy. The same issue WB is having with the DCEU. Maybe Wonder Woman being set so far in the past will be an island to itself.
Deadpool had no need to set up anything because of the nature of the character.
I still think Batman is gonna be the first good DC movie because Affleck is going to throw a tantrum until he gets things the way he wants them to.
That shouldn't even remotely matter. A reporter not knowing who one of the most famous people in the world looks like is just ridiculous.
I honestly can't make a good argument defending Clark. The airhead should really stick to the sports column.
Have we considered that Superman might just be bad at his reporter job?
Someone as historically unreliable as Clark (since he would always be disappearing/flaking out to go do Superman things) wouldn't be employed if he was bad at it when actually around.
Movie wasn't bad. Didn't blow my mind, but wasn't bad. Joker was pretty good in the movie.
The story I recall reading was from Whedon's perspective but the way he had it was that corporate wanted alot of scenes he didn't exactly want in the film. Mostly setup baity things. The shirtless Thor scene is the most egregious example.
In exchange Whedon was able to get the entire Hawkeye cabin sequence in the film. Considering that might be the best scene of the entire movie while doing better job of setup than a vision quest I'm willing to give Whedon the benefit of the doubt.
I'm of the opinion that despite AoU's bloated package it's still way above anything DC has put forth thus far.
That Clark Kent not knowing who Bruce Wayne really felt like an oversight in the script. But it wasn't as bad as:

so because I'm lazy, can someone link a gif of June changing to Enchantress when she was shown off to those generals?

Superman can dodge bullets though. Batman's kryptonite gas bullets notwithstanding.
If he knows they are coming and knows to dodge them sure. But will that necessarily be the case? Sure he might hear the gun go off way in the distance but he's always used to hearing all kinds of bad stuff all the time. Even if he did pay attention would he immediately be afraid enough to super speed and dodge? I mean look what batman did in BvS and he doesn't have deadshots ridiculous abilities
