Debating on whether I should see this still because it's annoying that everyone has told me they've romanticized the joker Harley relationship by cutting all the abuse out of the movie.


Harleys whole original character is fucking Stockholm syndrome. It's not something to be idealized imo

Cast screenings seem to be rare now. Almost all of his footage from the trailers were cut. I don't know if it caused a cut in pay because I assume he had a set amount based on contract, so he may be pissed purely off of artist itengrity.
WB brought in the people who cut the trailers to edit their version of the film. There is an article that I'll have to post later that David Ayer confirms there are multiple versions of the film.

i cant think of any scenes from the trailer i didnt see in the movie aside from him punching the ceiling of his car while driving it.

The knife scene, "let me show you my toys", a scene where he backhands Harley. I think there's a few more.

what is the knife scene in the trailer aside from him laughing in the circle of knives? that was definitely in the movie. I thought the toys scene happened when he met the prison guard tho i dont remember the dialogue they exchanged.

ohhhh found this handy video. The smoke grenade part definitely evidence they shot a scene explaining his survival of the helicopter crash and eventual escape. fuck man I bet there is a ton of Joker Leto gold on the cutting room floor

He also confirms the film universe's Joker/Robin/Batman connection

This is sort of my personal thing and maybe less about a larger connection. But Joker killed Robin and Batman basically smashes his teeth out and locks him up in Arkham Asylum. It’s in the asylum where Joker would have done the ‘damaged’ tattoo as a message to Batman saying, 'You’ve damaged me. I was so beautiful before and now you’ve destroyed my face.' Yes, he claimed it was "his cut". Now he's saying dossier cut. Hopefully someone goes over his head to make it happen.

Leto recently suggested, in an interview with BBC Radio, that it would be enough to provide a standalone Joker movie.

Shit a Joker stand alone movie? I'd watch that. I think Leto showed enough that it could be good if half of it wasn't edited out and poorly at that. Now I kind of want to see the whole past with Joker and bats thing while in BvS the hints at it kind of turned me off
