If there's enough uproar that convinces the studio that releasing a theatrical cut version on Bluray followed a few months later by an extended cut version will make them more money, then they'll gladly be hypocrites to fill their pockets. Who are we kidding here?

I mean, it's not nearly in the same vein at all, but look at fucking episode 7. They're releasing a deluxe-deluxe edition with EVEN MORE cut scenes? Fucking eh, lol

On the other hand how crazy is it they shot enough footage to make a movie about a guy this movie isn't even really about?

Finally got around to seeing it. It's not good, but it's not BvS bad. So there's that I guess.

Fuck WB. I'm not paying for another cut of this hatchet job because they blinked when BvS got torpedoed. I'm sorry its so hard to balance such things as tone, comedic timing and audience payoff.

Leto lost most of his screentime because it was the only way they could stitch together the Harley/Joker story to have a payoff that didn't infuriate audiences. From what's cut, things were definitely looking darker on their front and we know how well grimdark has been for the DCEU.

Harley/Joker Intro Movie. Open on Harleen doing her morning routine before she goes to work. Starts out bright and happy. She enjoys her job. Gets to work.

Boss guy "Dr. Harleen, we have a new patient for you, today. Becareful with this one. This is the Joker. You got your work cut out for you on this one"
Harleen "Oh, I like a challenge"

Meet Joker. Several visits here and there, just her and Joker with maybe some side shit. Break out happens, Joker tortures Harleen, shes in love with him.

Joker "Prove, I'll take you to where I was born" or some shit like that

    That scene happens.

Movie gets dark from here on, Harley Quin is born. We see her go from small crimes to bigger crimes. See the bond they have together, ect.

Ends with the car in the water

Deadshot movie. Don't know alot about Deadshot but can probably open on his Ex and Deadshot fighting. Little girl crying, asking to stop. Wife is a bitch, gets an restraining order on Deadshot or some shit. He gets pissed off and wants his daughter. He does a job for money. Gets screwed over. Gets revenge, he finds out he likes it. Continues on for a bit. Angelo scene happens, ect. End of movie

Diablo movie. Show him growing up with little fire powers, gets bigger as he gets older. Starts into Gangs and shit. Climbs the ladder, we see him and his powers grow. End movie with him going to jail.

All the other characters can be side characters.

There, you have your intro movies for all those characters. Nothing is rushed for SS.

That's the way it should have happened.

Feminists on the internet yelling "You cannot show woman being abused and liking it. Do not glorify womyn's weakness."

Everyone else "It's called Stockholm Syndrome and THAT's the whole fucking point of the character."

Those are specials lol. I like the darkness of DC. I watch the animated things knowing it'll be alright at the end but stuck guessing at what cost. With Marvel, I watch knowing everything will be alright at the end and what diner they're going to go to at the end.

Pretty crazy. Should've just made another movie. Shit just making this a 2 parter to set up what happened here instead of cutting and cramming would've been better as shitty as doing 2 parters is

You shouldn't need solo movies before team movies. Every other movie with more than one character doesn't need solo movies for each character. There is no reason for superhero movies to be special in this regard.

The movies should be focusing on telling a story not trying to set up some future story. The biggest problem with these movies is that they are just trailers for a franchise rather than stories anyone was interesting in telling.

Not true. The thing with superhero movies needed intro movies is because a large majority of characters have an insanely rich past. So, when you put, 1-14 characters in a single movie and try to show all that past for each character, its an insane clusterfuck and thus requires intro movies. If you're doing something like Mystery Men, where, no, no one has 50+ years of history, then you don't need anything more than "my power is I throw forks"

I still think people who think Age of Ultron was "trash" just want to hate for the sake of hating.

BvS was far from trash, it just wasn't god tier, which is what it needed to be.

Age of Ultron was a great movie, but had no chance of living up to the hype (especially while jamming all the build ups for the sequels into it).

Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 were trash tier, with Iron Man 3 being the worst of the bunch.

Suicide Squad was just a fun movie, but suffered from the same generic villain syndrome and faceless enemies. I'm honestly more tired of faceless/non-human enemies in my movies. Avengers, Age of Ultron, GoG, Suicide Squad: "We're just going to have massive kill sequences of these hundred non-human entities because you won't have any empathy for them, and thus their death and the hero's struggle is completely two dimensional."

Are you really complaining about big army fight sequences? Did you not like Braveheart or Troy? What about The Hand in Daredevil or The Foot in the Turtles? Henchmen are a staple in these type of movies and they make sense.
