So finally got to episode 4. A few details which were in line with the shows poor showing for sure, but I think they spiced up the plot a bit and I honestly don't know how things are going to progress. Will we see an attempt at an escape/rescue mission for the people taken? Will only one or two of them somehow escape during some zombie horde attack and somehow reunite with the family? I mean in one episode they went from "The military is here, we're safe!" to "...the military is the enemy". Which is more in line with typical Walking Dead storylines, really. I'm not in any rush to see the episodes as they come out, but when bored I'm going to catch up to the show to see where it goes.
By far the best part of the episode was the reveal that the army was basically firebombing the place and bailing, cut to commercial, army recruitment ad.
Join the army, kids, make sure you're on the side doing the euthanizing, not the ones being euthanized.
Well, that episode was a bit darker
Really trying to convince myself to like the new black guy since he has the potential to be a character that plays all sides just to survive and ends up outsmarting all the other dumb characters on the show(I know, not that hard)...but the actor almost seems like he's overdelivering his lines a bit too much thus ruining any impact he had on screen for me...
...also..black guy..walking dead show....yeah...
what if his name was morgan?
alycia looked mighty hot, can't blame step brother for peeking.
Overwrought psuedo-intellectual monologue where he acts like he's the only one with the self-awareness to see what's going on, I just call him Mr. Reddit.
They killed three black people in the first two episodes. No one is safe.
wonder if fat pimply kid still alive? Bet hes out there surviving!
finally some zombies!
no way those 3 soldier wouldnt have took alicia
Last episode was definitely the best overall. I wanted to not like this show, but that finale has me looking out for the new season.
Meh. It seemed to play out in the most obvious path-of-least-resistance way possible, with a bunch of artificial tension spikes that turned out to be nothing. Defectors come to steal the SUV, knock out the kid, and posture about raping the daughter? Take they keys and go, whatever, we have 2 more cars anyways, nothing is actually lost. Reddit and druggie get trapped behind a locked door with impending horde collapsing on them? The keyholder arrives at the last second (and dramatically fails the card swipe until the even last-er second), jog away for about 5 seconds, and then change the pace back to a slow crawl. Tortured army guy comes back for revenge? Somehow nearly misses a stationary target at less than 10 yards, gets the shit kicked out of him, and the girl he shot is completely fine. Shit, are we at the end of a finale without any of the main survivors dying? Just kidding, the most disposable character of the group was actually bitten earlier and hiding it, but now she's gotta go.
And let's have the druggie blatantly and unsubtly state the entire payout to his character "arc" in case the viewers somehow didn't understand it yet.
Taking issue with the plan of unleashing of the arena full of 2,000 zombies, plus the ones get picked up along the way, upon a safe zone. So the plan is to jump in the facility based on verbal direction instruction, attempt to save 3 people with 1 gun (i think?) and risk with great probability getting yourself trapped inside? How did every other character be like 'this is a great plan Salazar, we'll sacrifice hundreds upon thousands of people, including ourselves, including those we're trying to save' and go along with it?
Also the motivation of tortured army guy is flimsy. Since he knew exactly where they were, this means he had to get past the aforementioned herd + whoever turned as a result, just to exact some petty revenge upon Salazar? Hmmm, no, now isn't the time for that. It makes more sense to cut your losses, avoid that area altogether since he is already injured and get himself to safety/reunite with his army bros. Unless I missed something said that would prevent him from rejoining them....
Maybe take an extra few days to break this episode guys....
So they are gonna get on boat the next season and fish for the rest of thier lives. At least the doctor should have come along and they could have sailed to the artic to find the primordial strain to work on a cure.
Just watched the finale....they go west to be trapped by water? Oh wait, a boat!
