For me it's medium rare all the time. Very very rarely do I order blue. Like twice in the last five years that I can think of and both were at the suggestion of another person. Thoroughly enjoyed it both times but had the runs for a bit as a result.

I'd give only Bane a pass due to the potentially fatal mud butt fountain he might endure from a proper steak. I personally switch between rare and medium rare depending on the cut / location.

That said, many of the women in my wifes family order their steaks well done. Their fillets. Well done. It takes all of my power every time not to jump across the table and end lives. It comes out looking like a hockey puck. Why God? Why?

actually, now that i think about it, i think the only times i've ever had rare-ish meat was always in a burger. i've always been so cautious about it i just order everything on the done end of the scale. i don't think i've ever tried a rare-ish steak. I'll have to do that next time I order a real steak, see how it goes. i've been feeling better with this new treatment so hopefully it wouldn't be too bad going through.

Tuna's a completely different game. Raw is amazing and seared on either side and raw in the middle is also good. If you cook it through, you're losing at life.
