oh there is even a stun meter this time!

This game looks beautiful....

Capcom Video on Variable System:

Interesting Notes:
Backdashes no longer have hit invuln. Do have throw invuln.
Chip death no longer possible unless Critical Art (Super) is used
All characters get a V-Skill, which is the old Focus input. V-Trigger is the old Taunt input (HP+HK).
Chun's Lightning Legs input is now QCF, no longer Kx5
Charlie's moves are all QCF/DP motions
All Critical Arts are QCFx2
Actual Game Footage (with random commentary):
Not sure how I feel about lack of chip death.
I do like all Super inputs being identical, since inputs had a hand in making some Ultras/Supers being less practical.
where are the grapplers ;o
I freaking love Chun's legs being QCF instead of x5.
Speed the movement up a few notches and we have ourselves another 6-8 year game!
Just added in the note about backdashes. Motherfuckers best be learning to block on wakeup.
Option Select Throw Tech is also done.
IIRC back dashes being invulnerable was due to the existence of focus attacks, so that going away makes sense.
Also noticing in a certain banned website's gameplay video that throws are not hard knockdown...
In fact, I think hard knockdown may be dead period.
Also, I absolutely love the characters avatars in the top-left/right corners. They better keep those.
In battle system trailer, Around 1:46. Noticed that Ryu guard crushed Chun with super. Wonder if theres actually hidden guard gauge or just abilities with guardcrush tag.
There is a visible Stun gauge below the HP bars.
The second this shit hits JP arcades I'm booking my flight. December most likely.
The other banned website confirmed that hard knockdowns are rare - Critical Arts and throws only (sure as hell did not look like it though for throws).
There's also a fatal counter system.
What arcade version?
EDIT: Before shit hits the fan - the above based upon hearsay.
Fatal counter like in anime games?
Yes.
EDIT: Just noticed there's a cross-up notification too.
Alpha Counters consume 1 V Trigger bar (most have 2, Bison has 3).
Normals above medium do grey chip damage on block.
Arcade version or riot.
So wait, is MP&MK a universal parry now? Because the game play video shows Bison and Ryu performing them without meter
In the article it said that the v-skill properties are different for each character.
