Joe really knows his shit, he definitely deserved that win.

Compared to the first couple of sfxt tourneys, this is definitely a ton more entertaining to watch. I was actually enjoying tampa never sleeps more than winterbrawl tho, flashmetroid's vega is really good, and the r.mika army was awesome, nuckledu's nash is great also.
ooooooooooooooooomfg it's even better on video
Depending on how severe it is (I'm hoping a wiping of all LP), the ragequit crackdown is going to be glorious. Half the top 6 is known ragequitters atm.
Aside, I just realized tonight that Ken's HK Tatsu is safe on block, that's some serious buuuuuullshit. And explains alot. I'mma have to stick to pulling up frame data for my opponent every single match since so many animations are really deceptive.
Up until now I've had it set on PC only, changed it to all and suddenly like 2/3 of my matches are rage quits.
I agree that it's more prevalent on PS4, which is weird because it seems like it's more effort to RQ on console, lol.
@Krandor it looks like it's a reset to 500 LP?
I don't care about points because I already quit ranked. Got to 3k fast and then every match was a RQ or so teleport ridden that I don't even care.
That said, it disconnected me mid match like 20 times. I bet a ton of people get reset on their points that don't deserve it.
I think I'm officially going down as the only person ever to quit SFV because the execution was too hard lol. Lost in tournament again yesterday specifically because I couldn't get a qcf to come out, someone jumped at me with low health when I had meter twice in a row, first EX airplane came out as j.mk, second one came out as s.mk![]()
How are you getting jumps for qcf... You probably should work on just cleaning up your inputs just for every game you play in the future.
That's the issue lol, this has never happened in any other game, and it's not like I just played SFIV. I've entered tournaments in that, BB, UNIEL, SG, P4A, SFxTK, DFC, and Marvel the past few years and even in the ones that I fucking sucked at I never had a problem where I couldn't do a qcf. I don't think it's the game even since I'm the only one having the problem so either it's the stick or my hands/brain are going bad. Ordering a Brook board to put in my old stick and taking a few weeks off the game til it comes in to see if that helps.
Most the times it happens it's because I just get d,f; the jump was probably because I did it too hard to overcompensate for not getting the corners and TK's it.
I think I do legit need to go back to Ultra for a bit. d,f wouldn't register as a qcf in that either so if I get it happening there I'll know for sure it's on my end and not the game at all.
I can promise you it is because you aren't doing the full motion (wasn't required in IV/other games) or resetting your stick to neutral. So an example:
cr.LK > cr.LK xx QCF LP
This has significantly different input requirements from IV to V. It doesn't seem like much to people who has always done it the way V requires, but if your muscle memory was adjusted to the shortcuts available in IV, it will feel foreign even though it looks very simple. Your stick has to go from crouching down, back to neutral, and then back to down.
This is the reason so many people are complaining about being unable to use Super (QCF x2) 100% of attempts; they aren't resetting the motion after the first QCF.
Inputs are actually kinda whack in this game. DP motions can be done with df, d, df. Half circles only need to go from df to db. And then obviously the fact that supers don't register the diagonal. B to f charges don't seem to work of you finish on df (this one caused me alot of problems with Bison until I figured it out)
Yeah, I'm not a fan of them any more either. It makes doing cr.MK into QCF very strange.
When I check input display it pretty consistently says that I'm just not getting the corner about half the time that I'm inputting it; it'll just read down > forward + button. NRS games are the only ones that would give a special move for that, if I've just been inputting them wrong the entire time this would have popped up before, lol.
i had a bad day too calli.missed qcf kicks for my crush counter combo ender for Laura and lost the match for it too.
My main input issue usually comes from getting a little too excited about Inferno cancelled into Bison's CA, and just missing the Inferno part completely so I stand there looking like an idiot whiffing my CA.
For some reason getting the cr MP into Disc's Guidance follow after Necalli's MK stomp fucks up at least 50% of the time for me. I really can't figure that one out since the input always looks fine.
My problem is the stricter timing on down up charge for Fang's fireball. I can do head stomp 100% but closer to 40-50% for the fireballs, it's infuriating being full screen and doing j.HP 4x in a row like a retard.
It took me a day or two to adapt, but once I stopped doing the usual charge storing technique of [d],u,d+P to get the second fireball charging faster and switched to just [d],u+P, pressing both u and P at the same time without delay, I rarely miss anymore. It's a bit of a bother if you're used to pre-charge on all your charge inputs, but it's not that bad once you switch.
I'll try that thanks... I am used to pre charging, which is weird because I don't think Vega necessarily relied on it in 4... Guess it was just a habit I acquired. I'm normally fine doing it after something like v skill or planting a poison bomb though. Thanks.
