The best guess I can make from what I've learned from my dev friends is that something was critically broken in the days leading up to release and they pulled all hands on deck to deal with fixing it and left even simple things like that to be done later.

Bipson is your typical kneejerk first month reaction top tier. Given the nature of this game, I can't possibly see how he is even mid tier a year from now given his baby steps walk speed. A game based on footsies, shimmies and baiting throws, making people flinch requires ground mobility.

yeah sako is a total tier whore. he only plays the chars that are SSS tier and bandwagons, not showing anything new /sarcasmoff. Sako was the reason people jumped over to cammy in SSFIV, ibuki and E. Ryu later on.

Capcom's "answer" to rage quitting is such absolute bullshit. They literally have no idea what they're doing. According to Haunts you have to have an 80-90% disconnect rate to be considered a rage quitter and be punished.

Considering the launch was pretty wonky and they are still working on patching shit together (that's what happens when an unfinished game is released), that's a pretty decent band-aid solution. If you are wondering where they got that range, prolly from a family of density functions. Think of it like a bell-shaped graph. In this case the offenders are on the one extreme side of the graph. We use them a lot in probability and random shit.

On another subject: why dafuq is Daigo trying so hard to live up to this image of being ryu? That mentality will quickly render him irrelevant in this game.

We've already established that this game is shit Strike without the parry. The philosophy is exactly the same, the approach is exactly the same, and even the top tier (chun) is even the same.

Ryu was ass in shitstrike, and he is just as much shit in this game. Ryu is a giant struggle in this type of free flowing offensive game.

Watching Daigo struggling so hard with ryu hurts my damn soul.

He had to switch to Ken in shitstrike, and he's going to need to switch in this game. Ryu will not work at the highest level.

1 thing I think that will shape the meta game in the future that almost no one does right now is v-reversal. There's going to be a whole meta around punishing and using v reversals, and in NJ there's one guy that uses them a lottt and they're really good.

The complete lack of AAs in the "high" level gameplay I've watched lately is disturbing.. Use your AAs people (I suck at them too atm but I'm nowhere near tourney ready)
