Birdie was pretty buff before; his arms were huge. I don't remember him having a gut in Alpha; pretty sure he had brick wall abs.

Edit: Just checked; 8-minute abs like everyone else in the series not named Rufus or Honda. Interesting to see that he put on serious weight in the years since Alpha.

Now, the original white guy in the original SF didn't have abs; he could have had a bit of a belly, but even then, nothing like this gut.

After failing in the Street Fighter Alpha tournament, someone told Birdie: "Git gut!"... and so he did.

Love the redesign. And i'm not going to get a PS4 to play the beta but... I'm tempted.

Looking thru what David is posting, he says that Ryu can basically mash Parry during combos/block strings and if you fuck up your timing he'll catch you.

Or you can just not press a button, and get a free counterhit combo after the whiff parry

V Skills are tied to the current focus attack button combo. It seems fairly punishable, and during the recovery animation Ryu can be counter hit.
