Is ryus standing mp > mp a block string? I keep getting mashed dp sumtimes also after sumone blocks solar plexus punch how safe is it to keep pushing buttons

Without looking I doubt it. Medium attacks for basically the entire cast are +2 or +3 on block and 5 or 6 frame startup at the fastest.

There is very little in the way of true blockstrings in this game.

Definitely isn't. Also Solar Plexus is -2 I think...in general this game operates with most things being either +2 or -2, in most cases if you get a medium blocked you need to either follow it with at least a light, if not give up pressure altogether and go back to neutral.
