    His VT isn't invincible frame 1, true meaties and 1f traps like S.MP > S.LK or CR.LP > C.LK will beat it out.

    Ideally you can use things with advantage like B+HP to get him to use V-Reversal instead, it's punishable and then he doesn't have meter for VT.

    Between the flash and the time before he can attack you can probably charge an EX SBK as well and just let it rip.

    Yeah nash has nothing properly invincible outside of super, I've even been hit out of v-reversal by the normals it was input on a few times lol.

    Upper body only. Works great as an AA, but you can easily stuff it on wakeup if you time your meaties right.

    It's also airborn from frame 1 so it will beat throws, but yeah against grounded meaties/frame traps it will just get stuffed.

    Damn, Mike Z with some sound knowledge regarding this game re the horrible input lag:


    It's totally possible to bring input lag down to 3f, yes, as long as the developer is willing to make whatever changes are necessary to do that.

    I have been waiting for commentators to get wise to what this much input lag means.
    Instead of saying, "Oh, got him too scared to try a punish!"
    they should start saying things like
    "Since Ken's dash is 15f and his throw is 5f startup, and since average human reaction time is 11f or higher, because of the 8-9f of input lag in SF5 it is humanly impossible to counterpoke or avoid the grab on reaction, rather than anticipation."
    or
    "Since 11f is at the low end of human reaction time, adding the 8-9f of input lag in this game makes Ken's 22f V-Skill cancel not generally punishable on reaction even by a 3f normal, since 11+8+3 = exactly 22. You have to guess he's going to do it and press the button early."

    But you know, those things are much less exciting to say. :^\

    Even on PC with manually reduced input lag, you severely notice it when playing vs Ken or necalli.

    Question: can someone explain how ryu keeps topping these tier lists ROFLMAO???

    When infgtration wins with Nash, it's because infgtration is gawdlike.

    Yet literally nobody else in the world is even sniffing second place with ryu except tokido, but all these bandwagon jumpers want to claim ryu is SSS, including daigo?

    This is reminding me of when scrubs were parrotting how mbison is so God tier.

    Zangief is trash in this game and we all agree because even a gatlike player like snakeyez can't win with him. And yet this somehow doesn't apply to ryu. When was the last time daigo COULDNT dominate out of the gate with ryu?

    The last time that happened was in shit strike. And ryu was mid tier at best in that garbage ass game.

    Protip: when even the GOAT can't win with that specific character, there's a good chance that character is raw doodoo.

    Fkn lol all the parrots elevating ryu to SSS tier when dis nikka hasn't won not one tournament while a scrub like li Joe can't fraud out at least one major with Nash.


    P.s. I'm still waiting for this deejay /don katsu fgt to address the fact that literally 99% of the sf5 tournaments are being won by sf 4 players.

    The guys getting paid to do CPT events aren't going to put Capcom on blast in the middle of a stream, though UltraDavid has been taking some jabs at it. A couple of times yesterday he dropped stuff like "You can't really rely on reactions in this game because of the way it's built..." etc.

    Realistically the delay is the same as SFIV on PS3 was and we had to deal with that shit at EVO for years. I don't really see this getting fixed though, it'll change how the game works with the netcode and I doubt they're going to overhaul the entire game, or that Sony would fund it given how many sales have already been missed.

    It's one frame worse then the PS3 version of SFIV according to displaylag.

    In the margins were talking about (like reacting to Ken's dash), that one frame can be the difference. Top that off with the delay from Madcatz PCBs or converters, and it's like 9 or more frames for moves to come out. That's fine in Tekken, but not so much here.

    That was part of the copy/paste from Mike Z, though I agree.

    Also, it is apple/orange comparing it to PS3-SF4 because the mechanics and engine of the game are totally different. It is a much worse issue in SFV.

    yeah it's definitely not an even comparison, lag in SFIV hampered your offense, but in SFV it fucks with your defense which is arguably more important than optimized offense in IV was
