You can tell from the replies that Valmaster hates it too. He went from having an extremely complex and impressive SF4 Chun LI to playing the exact same Chun Li as half the player base doing the same basic combos and setups over and over.

I knew I was right about this game the entire time this thread was shitting on me lol. Now most of the clowns have disappeared.

Phenom hating the game makes perfect sense.

Dude was a 4 bison main. To get anywhere as bison in 4, you had to play the most honest, patient, calculating footsie and smart pressure game.

It was pretty much a required trait for all high level bison mains. Tampa bison, neurosis, phenom, all players with amazing fundamental that can win off nothing but normal pokes.

5 is the anti thesis of that play style. Herpa herpa herpa dash in, jump, press buttons, do shit, sf5 in a nutshell.

It's the same reason why guys like dieminion, Xi'an, snakeyez, aren't finding success.

5s suffocating linear core gameplay doesn't allow those kinds of players to excel.

This shit was made for the autistic 3s crowd.

Lol those were good times. Nothing compares to EVO 2k11 Top 8 though. That was an absolute mad house. Even MVC2 EVOs didn't get as wild as that did.
