Sadly even SSFIV (an upgrade) sold more copies than SFV. For every person that hated SFIV they were drowned out by people that loved it because there were so many new players in the scene.

How many new people did SFV bring? I saw the exact same SFIV players entering SFV at WNF every week until I stopped going.

I have no idea what you're talking about because I don't follow his timeline. Also, Jiyuna sucked ass at SF4 and was an anime player.

Also, how long was the delay for Super in arcades? I was literally there the day it rolled out and was playing in Taito. It wasn't that far behind console from what I remember. It was also announced and people weren't worried.

Jiyuna clarified that because SFV is console only, it's hurting the scene for it in Japan. Super did well in Japan but it was still lagging behind vanilla up until AE came out 8 months later.

And I dunno how many new people it brought but the damage is done, people shit on it everyday and the barebones release definitely isn't going to please new players especially with the shitty netcode. I like the game but even I can't play more than 10 matches online before I end up with teleporting frustration though I had the same issue with SFIV so it's whatever, yay Florida internet.

Either way, whether a top player says this game is ass or this game is the next best thing isn't going to stifle my enjoyment of it. I mean, you guys quote PR Rog for all the distaste he has for V but he also said he liked IV up until Ultra. Lots of 3s players shit on IV when it came out originally (including Daigo) only for some of them to eventually pick the game up later.
