Yeah I tried downloading it from the steam store, it just launches the game without downloading anything and the new story mode is greyed out. Not getting a DLC tab for SFV in the library either.

After the game has launched, quit out and to go the games tab in your library. Story mode dlc will be listed but not installed, hit the check mark next to it and it should download.

I was able to download it last night in that manner.

Yeah, all the censorship this game keeps going thru seems ridiculous when Laura is still around, and all the summer costumes are skimpy as fuck.

Played a bunch of sets with Deejay to get a feel for Balrog.

Pros
Good damage
Easy confirms
Decent footsie game
Probably has the best V-Reversal in the game
V Trigger is very good too and incredibly easy to use

Cons
Poor damage off lows (only gets decent damage if V Trigger is ready)
Any button that can lead to a combo generally has poor range
Extension of that, his target combo that leads into V-Skill has HORRIBLE RANGE
V-Skill loses alot of value against a non-fireball character, can be easily jabbed out of.
Bad AA (cr HP is decent, but has a very specific range requirement as an AA)
No wakeup defense (only V-Reversal or CA)

I honestly don't know if he's a good character or not, though my opinions are likely invalid since I still think Alex is booty butt cheeks tier despite recent evidence to the contrary.

The season pass for this game is garbage. Literally just the 6 characters + their battle costumes and Guile's stage; every other battle costume has to be paid for and every other stage has to be bought with FM(a lot of it too).

Nah, something about the way she moves seems really off from the few clips I've seen. The costume seems fine for the most part, but the way she poses and moves around the screen it looks like someone with no understanding of the human body is clumsily posing a meat puppet. The hozanshu looks especially awkward. Meh, maybe it'll grow on me but something feels off about it.

SF sub has a thread going about DLC price. You could have bought every version of SF4 and all DLC over 8 years and still paid less than all SFV only a handful of months in LOL

They gotta make up for not basking in that sweet arcade money somehow. Shit sucks but luckily I only ever cared about 2-3 character costumes at most so it doesn't really affect me but it has to suck balls for a streamer that wants to have a setup ready with all the current characters/stages/costumes/colors. I wouldn't put it past Capcom though to eventually put color packs as DLC for real money instead of FM.

Which reminds me, buying the premium costumes should have all colors by default. Having to grind for extra colors is fucking stupid and annoying when you paid for it.

Yes. I got one thru a discount from GMG for like 10 bucks so it's w/e, but at full price the Season Pass is a horrendous deal

They actually are. Different outside contractors work on different characters. Whoever did Juri, Rog and Urien need to stay employed.
