nothing bothers me more than the fact that, that thing he considers a beard clips through his fucking chest.

The clipping in V has been ridiculous since day 1. The fact that Capcom never even bothered to fix it for the character select screens (looking at you Laura) has always come across as so fucking lazy.
Super whoosh? Lol....
Yes, I realize that because I've only said on this thread a thousand times that this game is fucking terrible because AA is performed by standing jab and the "normal" AA options get stuffed for massive damage.
Until standing jab AA is removed and proper AA are in place, the game will always be trash tier no matter how many new characters they add to it.
Jab AA is trash. To argue otherwise is silly. Normals on this game need a complete overhaul.

Reading conflicting reports on AA jabs. They are still there but apparently they are all worse. Chun's st. short is 5 frames now for instance. I just hope they don't fucking beat cross-ups cause that shit was fucking retarded i.e. Necalli.

Hey guys - long time no see!
I’ve been in the background as of late, working with the battle team to ensure that Street Fighter V’s 2017 season balance changes, which are coming in a few weeks, will build on the goal we nearly accomplished during the 2016 season: To have each character's uniqueness truly shine!
Continue on for more details on what we mean by that exactly as well as a few of the steps taken to get there.
From every iteration of Street Fighter since Street Fighter II, it’s been through the uniqueness of each character, that players from all over the world have been able to express themselves with their favorite character. It’s also through this uniqueness that we can see varying styles, even among the same characters.
What we noticed in the 2016 season of Street Fighter V was that although each character has the tools to allow for a distinct experience, there were a few things, which were quite strong in general, resulting in players using them more than the unique attacks each character possesses.
This led players, both the attacker and the one being attacked, to have a similar experience regardless of which characters were being used. We think that by reducing each character’s similarities, we can allow players to fully express themselves through their favorite characters, further providing the Street Fighter experience players have come to know and love.
Although I can’t get into all the specific change details just yet, as that’s subject to our comprehensive 2017 season changelog post due in the coming weeks, below are 3 areas we’re focusing on to give you a better idea of where we will address character similarities:
Recovery After Successful Throws
Strong Anti-Air Light Attacks
Invincible Reversal Reliance
In addition to these three areas, we are also looking at a variety of factors (such as advantage/disadvantage on hit and block, character vitality and stun values, hitbox and hurtbox sizes, etc.) per character when deciding on what changes to make to further diversify them. Overall, we think the changes made will result in a rich, diverse experience per character that both players and spectators will enjoy. We look forward to seeing what character specialists appear throughout 2017 as new characters get released. Prepare to not only have your favorite character’s uniqueness shine, but to have yours shine as well.

(just a rumor)
Spoiler: show
All of the Dolls!
They did say it will be 5 completely new characters to the SF universe. I wish we would get returns, but it's nice to see fresh new characters too.
That 5th guy isn't wearing his belt correctly. Nomura must've designed him.
It seems to me that (outside of jabs) AA is not necessarily out of whack with other SFs (although less than SF4 where c.HP was usually unbeatable across the board). There are enough moves like Birdie c.MP, Mika c.MP, Nash c.MP, Guile n.MK/c.HP, and so on.
Not every character should have reliable AA normals. Characters like Dhalsim and Guile should have them, but they are defensive characters.
The major issue with AA jabs is the characters like Necalli and Alex where it can literally beat every situation, be it a deep or shallow jump in or crossups.
Coupled with #8frames it poses a problem where the characters without AA jabs honestly don't have any realistic option unless you're standing there waiting for it. How often you see people get away with jump ins in V is super infuriating (like anyone playing against RB's Urien)
if they could fix Lauras air tackle to not trade that would be great. Make it crush counter-able on whiff, but air invincible once she gets off the ground
Flash Kick has no upper-body hurtbox while grounded and is invincible after ~frame 7. Works well enough as AA-only.
I'd actually rather see Laura's air tackle have air armor than invincibility. Trades on a move that is a hit-grab suck, but she shouldn't be able to use it to blow through FANG projectiles etc.

Was thinking #5 would be Garuda, but hes behind copyright with Arika iirc
Capcom devoted a series of articles (with the exact same portrait style as the linked image above) to SFEX character backstory, and it has already been confirmed that SFEX characters are "not off the table" for SFV. I would expect to see at least one of them; if all five remaining silhouettes are original characters, then maybe Season 3?
