I don't mind playing Rekka since it would be easy to pick up, however I want someone who is scary after a knockdown.

That's like a majority of the cast. What level of bullshit are you looking for? Are you looking for certain kinds of buttons? Command grabs? What kind of oki structure?

Problem with Leo is if your opponent doesn't know the matchup, he's going to get mauled. But as soon as the opponent knows the bullshit, Leo has to do work. Especially if the opponent can play in neutral. If the opponent fucks up once, you have to capitalize.

I don't know if you're referring to 2D art or 2D gameplay, but if you're talking about the latter, the results were pretty disappointing.

Slayer seems more up your alley tbh, he has insane damage output, lotta mixups, dandy step. I think he's a lot better in rev2. Not 100% sure cuz i stopped reading the patch notes since May got slightly nerfed and that made me a bit salty since she's already mid-low tier. Yet to find a character that is anywhere remotely close to bridget for me as well, since he was my 2nd.

Afaik that's not at all accurate in the current version of Revelator or in Rev2. Shit a Slayer won a pretty big US tourney recently.

Yeah Daymendou has been wrecking with Slayer lately, he's not S tier, but he's solid and capable of winning against anyone in Rev and is getting buffed in Rev2.

Honestly any character outside of Potemkin (for everyone not named FAB) is capable of doing work. There's always gonna be one or two S tier characters wrecking face, but outside of Sin's reign of terror it generally hasn't been that bad thru the games life cycle.

I was playing against Bloodwolf Saturday and May still has it going. Haven't seen a Kedako match in 2 months though.

Agreed, outside of some glaring gameplay holes in some cases. Slayer is good times.

I made the switch from SFV (still play it occasionally but rev is my main fightan game now) and honestly shit is so much more enjoyable. Fun as fuck to play, Discord is active and has private lobbies going usually all day and night on PSN or Steam, and they have weekly tourneys to have fun in as well.

I would say mess with every character combo trials and get a feel for them and if one clicks then pick that character, that is what I did honestly.
