didnt watch a single match of CC2017, but is it true a Smash kid won SF5? LOL
HOLY FUCKING SHIT, CODY IS BACK AND HE'S A FUCKING PIMP. I'M DEAD.
AE actually has be excited to get back into Street Fighter, but one glaring issue I have with the game, is that its baffling how antisocial playing online is. You cant even talk to people in lobbies and stuff.
I gave this game a 2nd chance, over the last two weeks. I got to Platinum something in like 1 day. Conclusion: this game is utter garbage. If you're on the fence because of Capcom Cup, do not purchase/update.
Well over 99% of all chat in fighting games is toxic. The only real reason it exists for that genre is to talk trash.
That's not to say that I don't get my enjoyment from it; some of my fondest memories of Xbox Live are the live trash-talking and hate-filled voice messages. But I grew up in the arcade, so I had fully developed that skillset by the mid '90s. Given the amount of utter garbage that flows through the mic, I can't offer any sincere, honest reason for voice chat to exist for fighting game. This isn't Overwatch or Rocket League, and you have no team to coordinate with. You want to voicechat and share friendly constructive criticism beyond "git gud, scrub"? Send them a friend request and invite them to a chat party.
The elimination of voice chat in fighters is a victimless crime. After all, you can still* send them expletive-laden text messages and accomplish the same thing.
*Admittedly, the practicality of this has been reduced significantly due to the outbreak of spambots on PSN, followed by Sony implementing Facebook-style "Only accept messages from people on your friendlist" controls. Still, nothing of value was lost.
yeah, i can't remember if it was BBCT or CS but at least one of them allowed in-match voice chat and it was the absolute fuckin' worst. most people didn't use it, but those who did were usually just scrubs that complained incessantly about me using X or Y move. i specifically remember one dude immediately going off about how he'd drop the match if i skipped the character intros so i did and he did and it was all very pointless and confusing. it adds absolutely nothing useful to a 1v1 fighting game and it's baffling that anyone thought it was worth trying.
1. Theres a rumor that Trials Fight Money Reward (and other modes) is going away in January, is this true?
2. Anyone have a method of using PC inputs without buying a tool assisted controller and registering on a forum for scripts?
inb4 git gud
Yep. Saw this on eventhubs the other day. That shit is trash. https://www.eventhubs.com/news/2017/...own-checklist/
Yes, for AE the offline one-time methods to earn FM (e.g. complete trials) are being replaced with "renewable" FM sources. I don't know if that means we are getting more weekly challenges, or something different.
So if you want to get that FM from story, demonstrations, etc. then you'll need to do so before January 16.

Team VS Mode being added.
That feeling when you realize there won't be a holiday special of Excellent Adventures this year.

Ken's Shinryuken looks awesome.
Some are pretty sick and I can’t wait to see what people with it. Some are straight up lazy and should’ve just been added as part of the regular move list like Birdie’s. Then you have a few that are so super situational why would anyone choose it to begin with like Juri’s lol.
