I love them in 4 since if you guess wrong with one I do 50% lol

One thing I do like a lot in V so far are the crush hits which just look like brutal Dudley duffs or getting hit by Viper's back+Standing FK AA. Nothing is more demoralizing in SF4 than getting hit by that move lmfao.
I love what I'm learning about Nash, but I'm super excited about Necalli. His playstyle archetype sounds so sick, like a faster paced yun/yang since he has the command throw. I'm sure he's going to be exciting as hell to watch someone like Poongko go insane with him.
As of today, I think I would be maining Necalli or Chun even though I hate charge fireballs. I will always go by looks of the character instead of tier.
I try to go by the tools/flexibility, personally (hence my love for Dante) and walkspeed. I like Nash's tools but his walkspeed sucks dick. His dash is good tho. I'll play Q if he gets put in just because of the name, and Vega obviously. Urien because he's dope.
Also, Ken is really fun to watch and looks awesome to play. Reminds me a lot of Guy.
I'm on the Ken hypetrain and I've never liked red raiyu in any of the previous games.
Ken actually has the coolest looking gameplay so far, I agree. His run move makes the game look "not slow". I tried Nash first, and his walkspeed is just unbearable and his teleport is only good for an extender. its not going to catch anyone after the first couple of weeks.
I've never been a fan of Ken, and i hate his hair in this game, but he does look the most fun....hmm...
I definitely need good normals. That's what makes or breaks a character to me. I need the tools to compete in neutral, specially because my execution sucks and I have to resort to easy combos most of the time. And because of this, I also love good walkspeed. I like zoning characters, too, but I've never been able to play Sagat correctly because he doesn't walk, he crawls. Ideally Vega will be in the game eventually and won't be terrible like SF4 Vanilla Vega, but I guess he'll be in a future update and not in the initial 16. Remy would be awesome, too, but I really really doubt he'll be ever there. If I were to choose right now I'd probably pick Ryu or Birdie, Ryu looks more like his SFIII self which I like, and Birdie has great buttons and is goofy as well, that's something i appreciate, too.
I'd have to do a video comparison, but Nash feels like Sagat walk speed. Bison feels even slower but you need to use his scissor kicks to move about the screen.
Bison is basically SF4 Makoto in the dramatic difference between his walk/dash speeds.
And then you throw VT in the mix, which changes up his movement options completely into some really obscene shit.
I'd need more time with it but I'm not as big of a fan of his VT as I thought I would be. Always travels the same distance and has recovery frames. I was hoping for Slayer type shenanigans.
I've figured out that my play style as a person is one that likes to get in and pressure. I don't mind playing a slow neutral if it means I can corner you and get obscene damage. If no one has the pressure I want I may end up with a grappler.
Anyone else feel like they were forcing themselves to enjoy this game just because it's newer than 4? :/
What I take into account:
1. Looks - I cannot play an ugly character under any circumstance.
2. Walk speed
3. Jump arch - SF4 Chun/Elena just feel strange....
Shockingly, because of this, I ended up with MSP on day 1 of Marvel 2 arcade release at least a year before anyone else was using the team.
