Okay i thought i was crazy. I loved Julias pressure and shoulder slams and target combo launchers... That was the first thing i thought when i saw Karins game play "wait.. did they just copy Julia? from SfxT". (i never played much of alpha so i wouldnt know jack shit of Karins move set). She even has Lilis spinning move.. Karin is basicly my old SfxT team.. ima have to mess around with her too.

I'm assuming this is going to be a game where you want to play everyone. Getting down combos for characters will only take ten minutes so there'll probably be more focus on counterpicking.

Problem is, Ken Bogard's leak specifically says there's zero plans to implement R.Mika to the game.

If I'm trying to prove that I'm the best at what I do.. and i have to make a switch to a 7-3 matchup all I am proving is that I can win a matchup in my favor.. Why the hell have tournaments to begin with if all people will do is play the numbers

I don't think of it as a bad thing, I'm only a character loyalist because in SF4 I really love my character, and in other games I don't have enough time to explore more than one character.

Think of the game as a whole, rather than just a collection of individual characters. If they go to the trouble of designing 40 characters and you only play one, you're kinda wasting a large portion of the game. I'd rather be known as being great at the game than just being great at one character.

Is it about proving some machismo bullshit or is it about winning the titles, the money, and securing your legacy through victory. The FGC has too much false "pride" and "No True Scottsman" nonsense. I love to see a dude who plays one chara run it up in tourneys as well, but fuck, at the end of the day its about winning.

i doubt there will be any 7-3 matchups or so if dhalsim isnt in it. hell USF4 is mostly balanced (with the exeption of elena hurtboxes)

I see what you guys are saying to a certain degree, however I think that if someone prepares themselves for a tournament, they should prepare themselves for when they run into a character or person who counters what they're trying to do. Yes it may be hard, but running to another character stunts your growth as a player, imo.

Even if Capcom spends the time making 40 characters and I only choose to be proficient at one of them, it still means that I have to master how to play against the whole cast. Just because I'm playing one character doesn't mean I wouldn't be studying them all.. it just means that I'd be studying them in a different capacity. Similar how football teams study their opponents the week leading up to their match.
