    Uh, yes it does.

Aside, just blaming wifi in general isn't correct. Now wifi on shit modem/router combos like from Comcast, absolutely. My ping to my router is under 1ms when on wifi, which is better then what a powerline adapter can provide since my computer isn't in the same room as my router.

I have Comcast as well, but I'm saying that people playing with bad WiFi routers, like the modem/router combos that they give out, are the root of the issue.

Ive generally been using a PowerLine adapter for my computer upstairs, but recently I tested the connection vs my WiFi and the WiFi actually performs better (again, sub 1ms ping to the router on WiFi, PowerLine was at 3-4ms). Granted my router is more expensive then the average user would be rocking (Netgear Nighthawk), but quality performance can be attained over WiFi.

yeah, because my roommates for some baffling reason want to use charter equipment, my network gear is questionable where wifi is concerned. ethernet's flawless though, and fortunately for me the modem/router sit about 3 feet away from my tower/ps4.

Latency isn't the problem though, it's dropped packets. It definitely happens a lot less if you have good equipment but you're still gonna get those random spikes.

Last beta they Tonya Harding'd Mika so I played Laura, then this version they give Mika most the stuff they took away back but gut anything Laura had resembling combos lol. Both of them are still kinda meh. Mika is viable but nowhere near the Karin/Vega/Bison/Chun/Gief level atm.

Also, can we talk about how even on the character select screen there are visible clipping errors for anyone with long hair? That shit is infuriating as fuck.

yeah, laura really doesn't have much for combos, but i've really been digging how easy it is to pressure people with lp shoulder/cr.mk>lp shoulder. between that and absolutely nobody ever blocking crossups my winrate started skyrocketing.

granted that's probably an artifact of netplay + being in the gutter tier for matchmaking, but i'll take it

    Things that are garbo:
    -netcode
    -light attacks
    -Laura
    -oki
    -Ken's hair
    -menu navigation

    Things that are not garbo:

I'm not sure. I swear I remember my friend having a problem where he didn't have a wireless router so he couldn't connect. I even went and checked mine before I said it just to be sure and somehow missed it.

Either way, at your level where most people actually take it seriously and have fightsticks/pads, they'll seek out a dedicated wired connection. But the large population of scrub tier people like me don't care enough about the difference.

Really? I find crossups SUPER easy to spot crossups and block in this game. The ONLY time I get hit by them is when I try to trip guard, but I'm pretty sure THEY TOOK THAT OUT OF THE GAME. There is almost no ambiguity at all in the crossups. If you get knocked down, it is pretty easy to say "ok, he had to be standing at X spot for a crossup" and he either is or isn't. Changing your attack button in air doesn't seem to affect which side you land on like SF4.

Also, I've been punishing Laura's shoulder on block each time, but it could just be I'm going against Laura's using the wrong version of it.

Idk, crossups seem to be pretty easy to just block on reaction in this game for me. Maybe I haven't seen any of the good ones yet?

I've been having a lot more trouble trying to find a way to stop people just mashing upback. Maybe I'm just too used to anime games, but it always kinda bothers me if I jab or c.MP someone out of their jump out, they just tech out and I don't really get anything out of it. I guess I just need tighter pressure and hit people out of jump startup? (however many frames it is in this game)

I really hate to keep bringing up the sf4 goggles, i really need to take them off and understand this is a totally different game, just like 3rd strike is significantly different from sf2. Also damn the hair clipping is the one of worst things this game has, worse than ffxiv. I guess cuz guilty gear xrd is almost similar gameplay-wise to the previous games, that i keep thinking sf shoulda done the same.

what ever the lag is its the fucking worst. anybody that wiggles back and forth with their stick is just teleporting im fighting things i cant see!

And yalls complaints about laura are kinda meh

cr.mk > shoulder / mixup game grab or air grab

stand.mp > mp fireball block string make them stop doing shit

after they stop mashing just start mixing in her vskill and cr.mk and stand mk.

i disagree in a way, because people would then say it would be SF 4.5. SF2 not SF3, and SF3 is not SF4, all the game sequels are different, and i appreciate they went with a different approach, but the approach is so god awful so far that it baffles me that this will be the final product. If they wanted to really concentrate on online play, they really should've fixed this netcode since beta 1. If they wanted to make the game more in-depth, they should've at least looked back at how in-depth the community made SSF4/AE/2012 (fuck ultra), some 3rd strike, cuz 3rd strike imo is still fucking awesome, and SF2:ST. They did things correctly w/ SF4 by making it closer to SF2 than SF3, but their new take on this version just oversimplified the entire engine to the point where i can get at most a 5 hit combo w/ Cammy sans EX/V-trigger/Critical Arts.

edit: not to mention how stupid some of the hit/hurtboxes are in characters, Cammy's cr.mk hitbox is her calf, NOT HER FUCKING FOOT.

The pushback on combos (which makes them all absurdly simple) is probably what bugs me more then any other aspect. Outside of target combos nothing is every going to go past normal - normal - special. Nash could previously do cr lk into the st lp - st mp target combo, but apparently that was too many button presses since that's gone now.

I hate this too. With Ken, if I want to connect cr.MP > st.MP I have to basically be inside of my opponents body now...ridiculous. This makes it impossible to fight Bison because he can keep me out and punish fireballs without meter.
