I actually think netcode is the one thing they are going to knock out of the park with this. From what I've played, the online mode feels the exact same as the cracked training mode. If you have issues with any lag, it is because your internet blows or you are matched against someone in another country (whose internet very likely blows in 99% of non-Asian cases).

Lol, I'm giving the game 1-2 weeks to get my attention in a positive way. If it doesn't, I'm going back to Ultra regardless of tourney presence.

I did the same thing with Marvel 3. After 3 days, I could tell it was just plain bad and the netcode was worse. I never played it a day after that. Actually, I think I played the updated version like twice.

While the game is more honest than SFIV the overall functionality is only enhancements, no major innovations. The game doesn't really add anything new

Netcode is great, but players are going to be shit because they care about money and sales figures rather than the core players because they never will put up a wifi detector so you can avoid those people like the plague.

Not sure who I'm gonna start out with as in the end I'm probably gonna move on to Urien once he's released. Might dabble and in Rashid and Karin to start. Did they ever fix the issue with PS4 madcatz sticks not working with the game on PC?

Afaik PC version still only work with Xinput (360/Xbone) devices. I just ended up getting a Brooks converter to use it with my FC 4.

Think someone (Markman?) said on twitter there'd be a patch for dinput support later, but yeah it's apparently xinput only at launch.

Tbh I'm amazed Madcatz has stayed in business this long, even after bringing sticks to the masses they're still forever associated with this shitty controllers you always passed off to your buddy because you were too cheap to buy a real one.

I'm definitely maining Mika, but unless she gets some kind of huge buffs, will probably need a pocket character just in case. Not sure who I like for that yet, but Rashid looks like the type of character I'd have fun with, so I might try him out for a bit. Might try Ibuki when she's out, provided she's not a SF4 setplay character.

I used joy2key when I was playing the Beta. Idk what the situation is going to be like for meets/tournaments though...I really don't want to have to get a new stick just for this.

I'm not feeling this game. Hopefully things will turn around, and peeps will find new discoveries to enhance the overall experience of the game. Unfortunately, it will be highly unlikely since my biggest beef w/ the game is its core gameplay engine.
