As the last chance to go with the running gags and the last time any of the weaker fighters would ever participate in anything, it's actually a potential goldmine of comedy (reference: Tree of Might Christmas special). After that they more or less get shafted aside.

Next DBZ movie is going to revive Cell and Buu, and Gohan is going to go Mystic SSJG and destroy Buu infused Cell (or Cell infused Buu). Then in the end Goku is going to show up as SSJG3 and make everything Gohan did a waste of time.

I've read the 3 manga chapters (one shots? three shots?) that have coincided with the movie, and oh my dear Lord, Gohan is such a bitch. Neglecting training to the point where HE'S NOT EVEN SURE IF HE CAN GO SUPER SAYIAN. Dude was struggling with fodder Freiza Soldiers. Wow. Peace-loving is one thing, but you STILL have 50% Sayian blood in you. I seriously doubt you'd have 0 urge to at least hit the gym and do some curls.

From the first Super Sayian 2 to this... He gets weaker with every movie. This is absurd. He also seems to have de-aged by a good 5 years from the end of Z to this movie. He looks 16 in that tracksuit.

Fucking Future Gohan may be stronger than this one by this point.
