They'll probably call him Dark Goku or Evil Goku or something like that.
Or they might just tack on any other random word to Goku. I don't know why he was called Black to begin with.
From what Trucks said. Black introduced himself as "Son Goku" and then started to murder everyone. Bulma named him Goku Black because of the black clothes he was wearing. Its silly but its the explanation given in the episode
Ah okay. I didnt remember the reason.
I just happened to watch that episode as you posted it. It was such a quick throw away reason that if I was an episode ahead, I'd have completely forgotten about it
I liked TFS/Scott Pilgrim Nega-Goku.
When the hell did goku get so damn annoying about fighting other people? I swear its much worse in Super than it was in Z. Its to the point where I really can't stand him when he hears about a new fighter.
Another question that could probably chalked up to shitty writing.
How does Future Trunks world work? Its been stated that its a parallel universe after Future Trunks went and changed shit. How does that math into the 12 Universe thing? And how exactly are they getting back there. It first made sense when Trucks fucked with everything cause at that point, the time travel worked.
He went back, killed Freeza, gave Goku cure, left.
Came back, still possible to be the same timeline because goku didn't take it, could have died, and thus end up in the same future as before. Makes sense that Trucks can come back to that.
How does he come back this time? For one, the two worlds are completely no longer connected. And even if some weird ass thing could be explained to go there. Getting back is also weird. They are going forward in time, in the "good" Dragon Ball Super timeline. No reason for the earth to be destroyed. How did they even get back to trunks universe?
I've probably horribly over thought this but w/e.
You´re getting shit mixed up. Future Trunks is from a different timeline not a parallel universe. It´s our main Universes "how it was supposed to be" timeline.
Then how can you have multiple time lines in a single universe? I'm pretty sure they talked about this in the Dragon Ball Z at one point.
If Trunks changes the past, the future can't exist, so Trunks can't change the past, so the bad future exists so Trunks can change the past.
Instead of that paradox loop. They said something about how they created a parallel universe so then not to get all caught up in that confusion.
Again, I am probably over thinking this more than I should
Changing the past doesn't necessarily always affect the future. Time travel in DBZ causes alternate timelines to split off from the original.
There are 5 known timelines in the current story.
http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Alternate_timeline
The alternate timelines were all created and linked due to the use of a Time Machine. Because the Future Android 17 and Future Android 18 killed the Z Fighters and most of the potential heroes of Earth, Future Bulma created a Time Machine to send her son Future Trunks to the past to prevent Goku from dying of a Heart Virus, to warn the Z Fighters about the future android threat, and to find a way to stop the androids in the future world (either a way to deactivate the androids or a way to destroy them, maybe even taking Goku to Future Trunks' timeline).
It should be noted that, in the universe of Dragon Ball, one does not have to directly interfere with a timeline to disrupt it. Simply going back in time causes disruptions to the timeline as various random changes occur. For example, Androids 19 and 20 came first, despite no explanation occurring for why they would exist, and Androids 17 and 18 are also inexplicably stronger than Future Trunks remembers. Therefore, even if a time traveler follows a "look but don't touch" policy, they risk changing history.
Timeline 1 is where the main story takes place, and Future Trunks and Cell arrive there from their respective future. Timeline 2 is the original timeline from where Future Trunks originates. Timeline 3 is where Cell originates from and goes back in time by killing Trunks and stealing his Time Machine; this timeline is briefly seen. Timeline 4 is never seen, but it is the timeline in which the Trunks from Cell's original timeline (3) goes back in time to find a mean to destroy the androids. Timeline 5 has to be where the Trunks that Cell3 said killed Timeline 3's Frieza and King Cold originated from.
Okay. I was just not getting it then. I was thinking about Multiverse theory and shit like that but for the purpose of the show, they're just doing different timelines in the same universe. Got ya.
