I think that's the only thing I did like. He had some of his bravado/swagger/etc. Not a whole lot though
Well he was in no way supremely dominant over Zamasu like he was with Buu. He definitely was stronger but not by a whole lot.
He pissed him off enough though for a much weaker Trunks to be able to somehow kill him with what should be an extremely weak Spirit Bomb though.
Deus Ex spirit bomb has no limits.
We need a second future trunks movie to figure out some of these questions.
Shit that was disappointing as fuck. So much bullshit retcon writing jesus fucking christ.
The fighting looked really cool this episode, I wish it lasted longer. they clearly ran of budget once Trunks took center stage.
btw Toei Animation top Animator Naotoshi Shida did Vegito fight, while less experienced Animator Kenji Miuma did Trunks one which shows.
Naotoshi Shida.

Seriously way out there theory with zeno coming in next EP.
Trunks is both labeled as a Supreme Kai, the first mortal of his kind, and the god of destruction in the name of justice.
Not only does he meet the ideals of both, but this is what leaves Whis and Beerus flabbergasted in the NEP we saw this week.
The question is since potara last 1h for non supreme kais.
Is there a reuse cool down? I hope so otherwise I can see vegito coming back more often since vegeta said "I'll bear with it for 1h". ( ok 10minutes but you get it)
That episode was sick I dunno what's to be disappointed about. Trunks basically did everything I wanted at the end, the fight itself was really good (and well animated as Ker pointed out). Sure there was some bs but it's DBZ you aren't meant to think about it that much.
I'm actually glad I read some comments about people being disappointed because I was surprised in a good way. Best episode in a long time.
I'm in agreement. I don't take Dragon Ball seriously.. at all, and I expect stupid, especially at this point. We had transformations called Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Blue before the change for goodness sakes. I don't expect stuff to still connect, or make sense, or stuff to not be retconned somewhere. I"m just glad we got some badass moments against a rather underwhelming bitch of an enemy lol
If Vegito is used again later I'll be a lot happier than I am now, but I think there's nearly no chance of that happening.
Pretty much the only reason I'm mad is that they nerfed such an awesome character like that. Shits on the fans expectations.
I think Trunks beating Zamasu like that is really cool. I think they should have explained it better though. Like maybe saying that so many different people's energies together caused his already unstable body to go out of control and be destroyed. That at least makes total sense. Just straight up being overpowered by someone who should be magnitudes weaker than Vegito is kinda dumb.
Don't know wtf people are disappointed about. We had arguably one of the greatest lines in dragonball history in Vegito telling Zamasu his sword beam ain't shit new son lmao!
But did they nerf him? He was beating the shit out of Zamasu and probably would've won, but he split back into Goku and Vegeta due to the power usage from being in Blue form I'm assuming.. kinda like how Goku had a day or whatever on Earth back during Buu, but going SSJ3 sped that along. It's just a plot device more than a nerf. Vegito is still hella strong lol
Well I stated above why he should've been leagues above Zamasu, not only should the fusion between the two be stronger because they rivals, each of them were stronger than their opponents as well. Vegito should've been able to one shot him pretty much. But in the end even the Final Kamehameha did less damage than Goku's.
This ep had literally the worst writing out of any DB episode I can recall and on top of that felt way too rushed. Why would you cram all of that shit into one episode is beyond me. Cut some of the Pilaf and Mei&Trunks bullshit instead. Really? People making excuses for Toei because "look at how awesome the animations were" and "they probably ran out of budget cause animations were sick"? Dragonball franchise is a giant money printing machine and it always has been so budget for a couple animators who (despite being the best or not) get shit pay from what I know, shouldn´t be a reason to cut short on what could have been the best fight in DB history so far. But no instead they decide for whatever reasons to end this amazing arc in the most disappointing way. The fucking preview literally had 90% of the Vegetto screentime in it allready.
