You really can't say that when this arc has been full of shitty writing and a weak villain. At least they had the presence of mind to take the piss out of him and gave Trunks some justice. Vegito got some screen time (and the only thing you can really be mad about is not having enough of it, but at the cost of some actually decent animation).

Any method to defeat Zamasu was going to be pulled out of their ass since the only (seemingly) logical way to defeat him they left in the past which is stupid as fuck. Spirit hax have always been DBZ's way out of dumb writing, this shit ain't new but at least it actually looked good.

I don't care. I loved this episode. If this fight had been any other anime you guys would have fucking loved it. I do not want the days of fucking "5 minutes until the planet blows up and we get 2:30:56 min youtube videos of the "full freeza fight" of just SSJ vs Freeza full form lol. I'm down with 1/2 episode fights that are pure awesome.

With this I'm hoping we get a Vegeta win in the future.

Lot of people complaining about bullshit in this episode, but the only actual asspull was Trunks making a spirit bomb, everything else has a perfectly sound explanation.

How is it that Zamasu's fusion didn't break apart early as well? Black was a mortal body so it's not like it was two God's fusing. Old Kai fused with a witch not a Kai.

I liked the episode but I would have liked to see atleast 1 whole episode of Vegito fucking around and toying with him, then having him defuse next episode would have been fine. Potara fusion at their level didn't even last 5 minutes with that whole "They drained their fusion energy" thing.

If nothing else the fusion retcon brings back up the debate on who's stronger in Gogeta vs Vegetto.

Everyone's argument was always that the old kai stated that potara fusion was stronger than the dance, but now that it's established that Shin/Old Kai don't know shit about fusion (aka not knowing about the mortal time limit) they can be wrong on this as well

Disregarding who's stronger (because we both know it's a moot discussion at this point given the separate entities/background they came from), can we just assume both fusions now just suck based on the fact that both are at high risk of defusing because of the over spent power? (specifically, SSJ4 Gogeta and SSJB Vegetto; the scenario is the same for both where they basically ran out of power and separated, with both commenting "oh? but we should have X amount of time left").

The only way to further debate this is if they show a fusion dance later on between the 2 later in the series. However, if we wish to disregard SSJ4 here because lolGT, I have nothing else to say haha

It was never a discussion in my opinion. I'm pretty sure it's been flat-out stated potara fusion was a perfect fusion where as in the dance was second rate with imperfections depending on the dance itself.

I think power level and dance stance etc are what matter the most. Height is mostly non-issue since vegeta is much shorter than goku.
