    Xenoverse conflicts w/ this entire arc really. Like even Whis was willing to create a new timeline for Trunks. Beerus was in killing Zamasu for his own well being, etc.

    In Xenoverse canon, we'd be correcting these timeline mistakes.

    Also, chapter 18 of the manga is out and it makes sense. There is no plothole/time loop of Zamasu fighting Goku and that being the reason he wanted to steal Goku's body (but it never would have happened if Black never came back). So Black was needed for Goku to go to Universe 10 and Goku being at universe 10 was required for Zamasu to want to become black.

    In the manga, Black never came back to our timeline following Trunks and Zamasu found out about Goku strictly through Godtube (and the dragon balls as well) and got the desire to take his body due to a mortal using God Ki, pretty much.
