Right in the childhood.
So uh...Anyone else notice how Gohan was being built up as the savior of the Buu Saga, and out of sudden left field Goku became the hero?
Like the guy reached a potential level higher the Super Saiyan 3, was able to fight Kid Buu on Level, and such... But then suddenly Goku became the hero.
It was painfully obvious that he was intended to become the guy who replaced Goku, from the end of the Cell Games to the end of the Buu Saga and beyond...
Oh well, I guess he...

That responsibility.

A bait and switch we saw with Gundam SEED Destiny, where Shinn was intended to be the new protag. It was painfully obvious that he was intended to become the guy who replaced Goku, from the end of the Cell Games to the end of the Buu Saga and beyond...
Oh well, I guess he...
..But was apparently so damn terrible they just brought back Kira.
Can't blame them with that one. Shin is the only protagonist I've ever seen who fought with the bad guys in the final fight. Dude sucked.
Also:
But I also liked when they did it the next episode and did a slight rewind; the expression on people's faces.
Starts at 56:17 or so.
It's in DBKai so not filler.
Okay, than how about this?

I'm not sure I've ever seen someone claim that that is a scene of Gohan becoming a Super Saiyan for the first time, given that Gohan transforms just by concentrating, and there's no shown trigger. Almost everyone agrees that that's a scene after Gohan has already become a Super Saiyan for the first time and is practicing it (it's probably the very first voluntary transformation, given Goku's excitement). Eithwe way, the anime scene where he transforms isn't in the manga.
DB Kai still has filler, just much less of it. For example, Gregory wasn't in the manga at all, but Kai kept his part of King Kai's training from the anime.
I never watched that part of the Anime, but if I recall correcly, in the Manga he managed to make his hair change colours for the first time by imagining Piccolo being murdered by Freezer. Not sure if that was just the German translation, but seeing how Goku seems to get a lot of flak for being a terrible father, it seems rather telling that he advises Gohan to imagine Piccolo being killed, rather than his own father.
Though Piccolo was also the only one to call Goku out on his decision to send Gohan into battle with Cell after giving the latter a bean on top of all that; wonder if Goku eventually came to terms with the fact that Piccolo was more of a father-figure than he was.
Agreed. I had those episodes on VHS and watched them over and over again.Scene still gives me chills. The Ozoru scream in the background is what makes it amazing. I wish they had kept that part in the dubbed version. It just added SO much to the scene. Easily top 10 scenes in anime ever.
Thought this was interesting. Decided it belonged here.
