The annoying thing is that we know they're not capable as much. Yet for the purposes of drama even in numbers this fight doesn't make a lot of sense. I much rather a Ginyu Force like squad to be opponents rather than mooks.

I mean, if Roshi can keep up with the general army then come the fuck on. There is no way you're going to rule the universe. I don't know if they're doing the whole BS from the movie of no killing them but there is NO reason one of them can't take all but the strongest out in .5 seconds. Also Gohan got Goku'd via the movie. I haven't seen a subbed version so I have no idea what happened with Vegeta and Goku and the black hole. I guess that one guy that kills that other is pretty strong. Gohan seems to go SSJ2(at least from hair style) in the next episode.

Gotta admit, the anime did a good job of making the DBZ crew vs scrubs fight actually be the DBZ crew vs a bunch of scrubs. And yeah, it was stated by Frieza in the episode that Gohan at least wasn't fighting with the intent to kill, or even really making an effort.

Next episode should be interesting, looks like Ginyu is back in a new body and Gohan goes "series".... only to be overshadowed by Gotenks it looks like in the previews lol

I do enjoy the new direction the anime is going with the 2 elite dudes... well, 1 now. I always felt that was missing from the movie. And the fact Gotenks shows up, I hope it's not just a quick show or anything but something of significance (at least half an ep). The fact Ginyu also makes an appearance along with Gotenks should turn this into lulz territory (can't wait to see how Freeza will react).

I don't see that parallel. At the end of DB Goku was about on par with Piccolo and Radditz was stronger than both, there was no regression on Goku's part like we're seeing with Gohan.

I think Toriyama is really emphasizing hard that you can only be the best if you keep training cause no natural talent can make up for laziness. At least, this is the only logical thing we can draw from Gohan being pussy.

It also begins to imply that if Dodoria or Zarbon trained for four months than they'd be stronger than SSJ2 as well. This is just as silly as Frieza becoming as strong as a God in four months as it begins to imply that if anyone trained they could easily surpass beerus (a fraction of the hyperbolic time chamber that was used in the cell saga and they went in TWICE keep in mind to BARELY get to cell's level and to barely get to SSJ2. Not to mention Gohan was supposed to be a fighting genius as well that could learn at an accelerated rate in addition to his latent abilities of the allegedly superior human/saiyan mix since the human emotions were supposed to make saiyans more powerful etc.)


The entirety of Resurrection of F is sloppy writing for the sake of bringing a nostalgic villain back. The manga probably realized this and most likely why they skipped it entirely. Shitty writing aside its still an interesting twist and its nice to see new action. The only reason to watch DB at this point is for the fights, hopefully they're not animated shitty this time.

6mo of training and Freeza would have surpassed Beerus. Lets not forget that he didn't even have a proper training partner like Goku and Vegeta had. Just beating the shit out of someone isn't exactly good training. And not to mention the training that Goku and Vegeta is going to far surpass anything that Freeza could even dream of.

P.much this. Frieza has been the only real plotkai so far. Ginyu kind of makes sense (if that is in fact him), he's been training/taking over stronger bodies for all the same years as everyone else but he'll still probably get the scrub treatment from SSJ3Gotenks

So yeah, besides Gohan turning into a wuss and Frieza getting convenient plot devices, everyone else seems pretty in line with how strong they should be.
