I mean comparing about 24 mions outta the week vs an MMO that's crappier than this show.. nice.
how far ahead is the manga?
Spoiler: show
i will say that i was, honestly. i picked up dragon ball z kind of randomly after having gotten into anime in general. when i was younger, i couldnt stand cartoons because i was "too old for them" or some stupid ass shit. ive never bothered to this day because i dont find most of the things in anime funny when its cheesy and everyone i asked about it calls it the funny version of dragon ball z. i dont really take their word for it per say, but ive seen/read a lot about it on youtube/internet/ect that i always felt like i have the story down. would you honestly say that its worth watching on its own merit? im not against it at this point, but if its not worth it im not trying to waste time watching it instead of say, jessica jones,, lol.
Was pretty sure the breakdown is:
More interested in just the fights?: Watch the movies.
More interested in the characters?: Watch the series.
Once there's actually new content, then all you've got is the series, until another movie comes out, and we go through the dance again.
Dunno if it's been there for a long time, but ressurection F movie seems subbed
So many dejà-vu in this episode @_@
Manga is literally only like 6-7 chapters. It came out AFTER the anime however they literally skip the entire Frieza arc to go onto the next arc. They end up skipping it in chapter 6. The last chapter, unless another came out, is literally the one you just mentioned. No real new characters introduced and no real story outside of the prologue for that arc. Not too far ahead right now but every chapter is at least an arc ahead. Maybe more if the anime puts more filler crap in there.
I really dislike how weak Piccolo is though.
Yeah, was kinda lame that Tagoma used his 2 seconds of actual fight time to just make Piccolo look like a chump.
Yeah it pretty much proved that four months of getting blown up by Frieza, who exponentially got stronger and started out weaker than Goku, was apparently enough of a power boost to outdo all of the years of training and make them all look like chumps. Not to mention after Ginyu got his body he was still able to use his power at a capacity that was able to outdo the Z Warriors. Which when Ginyu first got Goku's body which was significantly stronger than his he couldn't gather a fraction of Goku's strength.
Goku's spirit energy required syncing with his body. Hence why they can hide their ki and escape notice from scouters. Ginyu is used to power that's generally on or off. Though Ginyu did do some powering up which maybe more conventional than what the Z warriors normally do. Also Piccolo needs to take off his armor!
Yeah wasn't Goku's suppressed power level 5k? That would be why Ginyu got stuck at 5k.
He did eventually get it to start going up. I remember 24k being the number once he learned to start syncing or some shit. Others outside of the Z fighters basically were on all the time but could still do some powering up. So I'm guessing Tamoga wasn't really all about ki management so much as pure power.
Also after the last scene fucking Gohan better step his shit up. Fucking Gohan should have taken it. Such a bitch. Fucking writers.
