I don't think it's supposed to be alternate Freeza so much as it's just the same race, in the same way that Cabba is a Saiyan, but not an alternate universe Goku or Vegeta, also if you look, Goku only went normal yellow haired Super Saiyan, you can tell by the way it's drawn, the SSB hair is shaded while the Yellow hair is not.

I think the parallelisms are drawn because he's "the emperor" of the universe but a benevolent so he is the literal equivalent to our knowledge. (although it's possible he just runs the justice league/avengers there sort of deal etc) It was already established that there was a Frieza race in DBZ somewhat between what 5ish members of it? Frieza, Cooler, Chilled, King Cold, and Freiza's mom( not shown).

I'm thinking that's actually a bad guy rather than the good guys they let fight, also think he might be the equivalent to the cell of that universe. Although he is called Heat, might be more just wishful thinking on my part lol.

His name is Hit not Heat. I'm thinking its a misdirection. They will keep making him mysterious and somebody else will end up being the big bad. Maybe even the ally that Beerus brought along. Whis seemed skeptical in the anime about them meeting up with him.

This last episode was one of my favorite episodes. Glorious beards. Preview for next episode seems like the anime is going to divert from the manga.

And reason I say it diverts is because he goes SS in first match. Him going SS in second match was the reason Frost decided to change forms. Just small interesting changes.

I wouldn't be surprised if Frost skipped his 3rd form and went straight into his final form since Goku is going SS early compared to the manga.

First fight was exactly the same, and we haven't seen how the 2nd fight ends(unless I've missed the chapter).

Nah it's exactly the same, san some fighting stuff but overall it's about 95% the same. But has gone past the manga now with a somewhat unexpected development.

Not that shocking to me considering they decided to have Goku fight first. There had to be some shenanigans or he was gonna end up fighting all 5 people.
