Gohan is like that guy who used to be hardcore but then rl hit him and now he's a casual.

The call back to episode 140 [Z] was rather brilliant considering they never did anything with it since then.
I first thought Bulma's big epiphany was going to be remembering they can just have Shenron instantly repair the machine/replenish its fuel, but then she took way too long searching for a dragon radar.
...why aren't they doing that, again?
Do we know the last time the dragonballs were used? They do stay stone for a long ass time (I know the original was 1 year, idk if Dende's are less) before they can be found/used again.
The dragonballs were used to find the method for Ssj god remember? how long ago was that?
Edit:
Frieza was revived with the dragonballs so that was the most recent usage. I don't think that was super long before the tourney arc, and then bam here's Black Goku.
They're probably not usable right now
This is just a small gripe, but you'd think after the freiza incident where he blew up earth, Goku would take more care and try harder when fighting new adversaries on the planet.
Goku isn't a hero.
He's just a good natured person who loves a good fight. There's a difference. He knows shit can be wished back to life.
Nothing in his time lime is high stakes. Trunks comes from a very different point of view where everything is generally for keeps, which is why he's much more serious (like how quickly he took out the androids when he got back to his own time, despite being so much stronger than them)
Whole argument goes out the window when we remember the entire premise for going to Namek.
Hey, Bulma, remember the first time you ever went into space? That trip you took with that midget and elementary schooler into the great unknown? All for the sake of using a different pair of magic balls while yours were inaccessible? Remember that friend of yours who showed up in the nick of time and saved the day? And remember how, on his way home from that journey, he learned how to transmit him there instantaneously basically anywhere in the fucking galaxy?
Yeah, fuck you ya blue hair dying bitch. Go occupy filler with another giant crab adventure or something.
We don't know the state of the namek balls though. When they were last used is totally up in the air lol.
It's not like they're orbiting the same star as Earth and therefore follow the same time lapse rules.

To be fair the Namek balls were also used; they gathered them but found out they didn't need them so Kibito Kai used them to defuse themselves. It was gathered as an attempt to pre-empt Champa gathering the dragonballs (before the knowledge of universe balls came into light). Not sure if it's a manga only occasion. I don't recall them specifying this in the anime.
Namke balls are gone I think. Earth balls would be useless as Shenlong would look at Beerus when asked to repair the time-machine and wouldn't grant the wish(imo).
Does anyone else get a minor giggle whenever Beerus would say "That Black guy?"
I would laugh if they try to pull some BS where Goku Black and Trunks came from Universe 6's Earth that got brought back by Beerus's wish...
There would be A LOT of assumptions to go along with that.

Couple things:
1. Goku Black knows Vegeta, Goku and Beerus.
2. Goku Black is either somebody inside Goku´s body or possibly a Potara fusion between Goku and ??? (not quite sure as he´s only wearring one Potara). He says something along the lines of "I´ve been wanting to fight you in this body" to Goku.
3. This also kind of sounds like that they might have fought before.
4. Whis instantly spots the tiny ass Ring of Time on Goku Black´s finger but not the super obvious Potara Earring he´s clearly wearring? Did he really not see it? Or did he but decided not to mention it? Kind of weird.
Make of all of that what you will. Have a feeling next ep will be le slow cause of akward Trunks/Mai love traverses time and space nonsene.
Funniest thing was still Whis to me
"I guess he ran out of time."
Man's got jokes.
I wouldn't be surprised if they change it to Dark Goku in the English dub.
