Beerus/Whis and their peers are exactly what the old DBZ formula needed. Overall figureheads who would fuck your shit up if you dun goof'd. The Kai's and rest always seemed absolutely useless for supposed gods.

After seeing Beerus and Whis, it's made me question whether the Kai's are Gods only on a title aspect. For the most basic of instants, they have mortality whereas Beerus and crew have always existed.

I have a gut feeling the final fight of this arc is going to be a "Vegeta and Goku stand and watch as Trunks fights (and eventually defeats) Black" kind of fight. Except Trunks isn't going to go SSJB and while Vegeta and Goku could end the fight with absolute ease because of how overpowered they are, it'll instead be drawn out. Perhaps in a good way and perhaps in a bad way, who knows.

I like them too, more so considering I hated anything involving Pilaf in Dragon Ball, I feel like they did a great job switching them from continuing with their "world domination" plans to just being goofy helpers.
