goku black has been jumping from timeline to timeline trying to find a world where beerus doesn't exist, manga explains it better. He went to another timeline and took over that goku's body etc

We have a few mystery timelines.


The original Future Trunks went back to the past and they defeated the androids via unmentioned methods. They do get the blue prints to the androids, and Bulma in the future makes a remote and Trunks deactivates them. He's about to go back to the past to tell everyone that he was successful in destroying the androids and Cell kills him and high jacks the time machine.

This creates
A. Our main timeline
B. Trunks in the past is also affected by this, and it creates the timeline of the future he's apart of now (both of these timelines were created by Cell's visit; the original Trunks is actually dead).

So we have the original timeline (Cell's timeline), our timeline, our Trunks' timeline. Toriyama mentioned something of an unseen 4th timeline that was created in all of this. The Cell games happen, but trunks is not around for it. No other details are given other than Trunks left once he got the blueprints; and he wasn't able to return because of Cell jacking his machine

Then we have a 5th timeline that was revealed in super when Gowasu shows us the time rings, we know absolutely nothing about that.

The body Black has pretty much has to be from either of the two unseen timelines. We know the non-super unseen timeline has an alive Goku. We know nothing about the 5th timeline introduced in Super.

I agree. 85% of this ep sucked. Beerus and Whis made it ok. Trunks crying again got old. Vegeta + Goku scene was funny.

I say it's Toei syndrome.

They're trying hard to make Goku feel like Homer Simpson w/ powers. He's much much dumber even by Goku standards now than ever. Compound that with Toriyama not writing the entire script (he comes up with the outline and key/major points, and then for the manga, the new artist fills in the blanks. W/ the anime, Toei fills in the blanks).

Goku was always naive/dumb, but it was never this bad.

Episode 62 (October 16th): I'll Protect the World! Trunks' Angry Super Power Explosion!!

Son Goku and co. have eliminated the Zamasu in the present, but the future still hasn't changed. In order to defeat Zamasu and Goku Black for sure this time, Goku and co. have come to the future once again, but Zamasu and Goku Black's battle power far surpasses their own. Future Trunks tries to stand against them, but they accuse him "you are the cause of it all."
Super Trunks has a tough fight tackling Goku Black and Zamasu. While he holds them off, Goku and co. return to the present. Vegeta says "we can't beat them in a head-on battle", but Piccolo replies "in that case, there is one thing you can do."
Episode 63 (October 23rd): "Don't Defile Saiyan Cells! The Curtain Rises on Vegeta's Intense Battle!!"

While Future Trunks faces off against Zamasu and Black, Goku and Vegeta temporarily return to the world of the present in order to think of a way to defeat them. As Goku and Vegeta search for a method of defeating Zamasu and Black, Piccolo says "you might be able to defeat them with the Mafuba."
Although Trunks puts his life on the line battling against Zamasu and Goku Black in order to protect the world of the future, Goku Black inflicts critical damage on him, and is about to finish him off. However, at that moment Goku and Vegeta return to the battlefield.
Episode 64 (October 30th): "Praise and Adore Him! The Explosive Birth of Merged Zamasu!!"

Episode 65 (November 6th): "Final Judgement?! The Supreme God's Ultimate Power"
