Personally, I'm of the mind that I'll do what makes me comfortable with myself and fuck anyone else who has a problem with that. It helps a lot with the so called Male Mold that people seem to have in their heads.

I do a lot more cooking and cleaning around the house than my wife. I'm fine with that... mainly because I do a more thorough job. There are things that she either likes to do or wants to do that I dislike doing (ie laundry and dishes).
If anyone wants to give me shit for it, they can bite me. We have a system that works for us and that's all that matters.

The idea of women doing the cooking never really made sense to me. I mean, wasn't it abnormal for woman to work outside of the home until into the 60s? That being the case, wouldn't that mean all of those restaurants around the planet up until then were employing men in their kitchens? Same with any company that had janitorial staff also. Why would it ever be a "woman's" job?

My wife usually gives me a little teasing if I tear up at something I'm watching or reading. I promptly tell her to fuck off (the Vandalhart family "I Love You") which I'm sure people will find apalling, but she knows it's in jest.

I'm going to have to go with I don't know, because it's not something I really worry about.

Pretty much every job that is more womanly has a higher male counterpart. So single women were nurses, waitresses, teachers, and stewardesses, while the men were doctors, chefs, professors, and pilots

In my experience the notion that men must be able to do everything without help is the most damaging.

Case in point, what happens to a woman who is unable to provide financially for her children? She gets put on food stamps, WIC, section 8 housing, medicaid, etc and told how much its not their fault.

What happens to a man who can't provide financially for his family? He gets his kids taken away and thrown in jail, which pretty much ruins the rest of his life. This has happened to 3 friends of mine over the years, simply because they lost their jobs and couldn't find new ones, or because their wives left them high and dry in a divorce. Two of them have been jobless and broke since getting out of prison, and the third has a crappy laborer job where he's paid minimum wage and treated like crap since no one else will hire him.

Most of the others mentioned are good too, but something like this, ingrained into the laws of our society, is highly damaging to men.

and pretty much every unglamorous and/or dangerous job is almost entirely done by men. men are over 90% of workplace deaths.

I was just talking historically in response to his comment about chefs and cooking
