As someone who has been in the IT field forever, hacks like this make me grin because for the most part all companies see their IT as a huge financial loss, and try even harder to skimp on security and DR.

Of course when stuff like this does happen immediate blame is put right on us for not having it flawless, don't mention that the business doesn't give us any sort of real budget.

I always giggle when I hear people say how much money they would save if they didn't have to deal with IT and be constantly wondering what we do. I would love to see what happens if all IT just got up and left. We may cost you money, but it's for the infrastructure you make your money on.

The company I currently work a has around 5000 employees. Each Christmas the various business units are allowed half days to go to a paid lunch and leave early. IT? The 100 or so people in different segments - we get a shoddy catered lunch for our normal 45mins and then back to work.

Neighbors and This is the End were fucking hilarious. Last I looked before it got pulled from Rotten Tomatoes, Interview was at about 55% with 15ish reviews in.

I didn't think this movie looked good at all. I've seen the trailer a few times in theaters and I wasn't all that impressed. I thought the entire thing was in incredibly poor taste from start to finish. I don't think it should have been pulled, but I do think that making it in the first place was kind of stupid.
