There had to be a good reason; the dude's one of the true world philanthropists that we know of in Eorzea.

Not gonna lie I got hit by feels when he repaired the little kid's bracelet in the Christmas story. Dude gave back to the oprhans of the Calamity because he thought he lost his own son during it, and even after finding Hildibrand alive he keeps on donating.

That said, there's a hundred of actual reasons why he could've wanted to deny the Domans but the fact remains he did! Wanting them to work at the Gold Saucer was a shitty excuse as Teljedi wanted them "to work" at the Platinum Mirage and voted to let them in-- and if he really did want the Gold Saucer outside of 'Ul'dahn influence' or w/e he still failed to attract the Domans cuz they live in Mor Dhona now.

My money's on Enkidu as a standalone or the big fucking dragon at the end (Fafnir? Nidhogg?), given that it's very unlikely they didn't tease the trial in some form in that trailer.

A lot of ppl telling me Enkidu and I hope they're all wrong ; = ; The slides from Tokyo Fanfest show Mystery Trial being part of Part 1 (and they have Hildibrand and Gilgamesh's Revenge as separate bullets) and the Nidhogg/dragon at the end is teased to be in Part 2.

We have Ultima Weapon (Hard) Sho wow you dumb as hell; also seems unlikely to be Omega to me what with the Ul'dah climax happening in Part 2 as well

I don't think it's anything we've seen yet. Fafnir/Nidhogg is probably part of that "Ishgard Battle" they teased. Mystery trial gonna be a story spoiler for sure.

Well I have wedding/honeymoon end of may/early june. So I'd rather a new expansion come out AFTER that. Selfish, I know. But I'm ok with that.

I am honestly surprised Gaius hasn't gotten a Hard/Extreme encounter considering his importance to the plot but I guess that can be shoved in at any point in time down the road.
