Bonus streams have gotten shorter as the event has grown. They used to last for a few days, but it's unlikely you're going to see a bonus stream last more than a day anymore and they may disappear completely, mainly because the organizers don't want to deal with the additional workload of managing the bonus stream.

thats from July. though we got less than 12h, not sure what happened to the 24 idea. anyway i'm not gonna complain, bonus is a bonus, but it is disappointing nonetheless.

I do have to say that, in my opinion, they tried a bit too hard to cycle through new talent without sprinkling in enough of the old guard. Runners like cosmo didn't get runs this year.

Cosmo opt'd out of doing any runs this year because he wanted others to take the place spotlight of his place so it wasn't always ending with the same person running the last game(s). Quiet a few people did that so newer people to the community could have their chance, maybe we'll see them run stuff at SGDQ or maybe they'll wait until AGDQ.

Runners like cosmo didn't get runs this year.

Generally speaking, the people who got to run this year were the most qualified people who submitted. Cosmo is taking a break from speedrunning to play competitive Smash. Zoast decided not to go this year so he wasn't there for the Super Metroid race. Unfortunately mistakes still happen and you get stuff like the SM race, but the overall quality of the runs this year was as good if not better than previous years.
